So as many of you know….I had the special privilege of meeting two very special women this past week. I traveled to Asheville and met Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict , and Kathysue from Rate My Space and Micasa.com . We stayed at this breathtaking B&B, of which both Debbie and I will blog about for Tea Time Tuesday.
But here we are…..posing in front of the B&B. Debbie is on the left and Kathysue is in the right.
Unfortunately, my Friday visit with KD at Southern Whimsy had to be postponed as something quite icky called “work” got in the way. But, we have already re-scheduled our visit for week after next.
I found this cute pitcher and saucer set for $4. I am pretty sure it is French….because on the bottom is the wording I could hardly read….pronounced…”Jah…panne.” 😀 (get it?)
It is sitting atop my antique drop-front desk in our Morning Room. The sheet of rub-ons cost around $3…so for $7 I have a one-of-a-kind pitcher which I love.
Speaking of KD at Southern Whimsy , she is starting a new meme throughout the month of June. I think it will be extremely fun and will be a great opportunity to share and collect some great Summer Salad recipes. Please join KD this coming Saturday for this recipe extravaganza.

WOW, that is a HUGE change, my dear! But if you were going to make a change like that, now is a great time! There is NOTHING like living on the water! (I don’t now, but did from the time I was 2 to 18)

Scribbler – yes it was in Asheville. It is called the Black Walnut Inn. Both Deb and I will feature more pics for Tea Time Tuesday. I highly recommend a stay there. I soooo wanted to cook the breakfast, especially for my girls (and the wondermous hubby that so beautifully tolerated us!). I offered but I think they thought I was joking. I wasn’t!!! LOL

The pitcher is good; the house is fabulous and would be even if it weren’t on the water! The older I get the more I realize life is too short not to go for what we want. I wish the best for you–whatever that is 🙂

I have a plain unadorned teapot that can really use the scrapbook art. Thanks for the suggestion.
The house would be great.

Oh my goodness I wish I knew if we were staying here for a long time. I’m not kidding you I would want it! I told you before HF was and still is my dream neighborhood. We would walk it alot a few years back and I would just drool. I know I’ve seen yours many times I’m sure of it.
The Victorian is GORGEOUS!
Let us know how that all turns out.
Your pitcher is precious as well.

Love your pitcher project – what a great idea. Great picture of the three of you, what a great time! Sorry your visit with KD got rescheduled, that darn work. And I love the house you are considering. I’m like you, not normally a Victorian kind of gal, but this place is gorgeous. And I’ll be honest, I’d probably be happy living in a pup tent if it was on the water! Hope that all works out the best for you. Hugs, Kat

Hi Barb, I almost fell out when I saw the picture of the house you were thinking about buying. Not to invade your privacy, but is it in “Washington?” The reason I ask, is that we just opened a branch there and had a grand opening a few weeks ago. The house looks just like the one across from us that is “For Sale.” I thought it was a gorgeous house!!! …and the river is at the back of it. If it is the same house, our business is CCR across the street. Wouldn’t that be a small world if we were “neighbors” LOL! That is a beautiful town, I enjoyed touring the downtown shops!
Anyway, I hope it all works out for you, wherever the house is! It is beautiful! 🙂 ~hugs, Rhonda
