Four Winter DIY Projects
No matter how much you decorate for Winter, be it just a few touches or you go all out, this FREE Chalkboard Printable and these easy DIY Projects will add a touch of cozy to your Winter home.
I have always found it curious that most people consider Spring as the Season of Rebirth, but for me – I think the days after all the Christmas decorations have been took down and put away are my reawakening. I always feel the need to purge and renew and rearrange and re-do. I want to put a fresh new twist on our home to prepare it for the coming year. Are you that way also? But! At the same time, this time of year can be cold and dreary, and your home needs all the warmth and comfort it can get.
I created a Winter-Time Vignette in the Foyer and spent a total of $5 on all four projects I am going to share.
How’s that for budget-friendly?
That is actually one of my New Year Resolutions.
“Create on a Small Budget!” – and “Use What I Already Have.”
#1: The first project I created was one I shared is one of my favorites and I shared in a “No-Sew Showcase: Warm and Cozy Home“.
#2.) The second project I created was a Snowflake Dough Bowl. I decided to keep the white lights in the bowl from my Christmas project, because is there anything more cozy than twinkling white lights?
I added some greenery that I saved out from my Christmas decorations which had an icy look and feel. Perfect for a snow bowl.
I then added some small pinecones…
… and some more flocked pinecones plus the Faux Snowballs I created for Christmas.
I think the hardest part about decorating for Winter after the holidays is preventing it from looking too “Christmas’y.” I think this is a perfect Winter look with a few Dollar Store snowflakes added in.
#3.) The third project I created was a Vintage-style chalkboard sign. I freehanded the design.
Then, I added some silver sleigh-bells and a jute hanger…
If you do not have a chalkboard or feel comfortable drawing a freehand design, I am sharing this Free Printable. This is the Fourth Project.
You could use a Dollar Tree frame to frame it, or maybe you have some thrift store frames already on hand.
You can download it HERE.
I hope you enjoyed my Four Winter DIY Projects.

Sharing this lovely post twice, the second time I read it I realized I wanted to keep your cable knit sweater tutorial on hand for my own personal use later. This is adorable! So happy to be touring with such a lovely group. xx
