An Update on Mr Grits
Hello Wonderful Friends and Fellow Bloggers….I have received so many emails and kind responses in regards to Mr Grits. It’s been a long week, and unfortunately we are not out of the woods yet. The surgery went fairly well, although Mr Grits’ heart rate and blood pressure were greatly stressed throughout the almost 5 hour long procedure. . Therefore, the surgeon made the call not to proceed with removing the spots on his lung, as the other lung was already under duress. I am highly disappointed, but nevertheless understanding. This procedure will have to be performed later.
When I left my dear husband tonight to come home and refresh, pay some bills, do some laundry, etc – he was in great pain and his recovery was going downhill. It was discovered that he has an intestinal blockage which will most likely require more surgery. We will not know until Monday.
That is where we stand right now. It’s been a week of ups and down. Cole has been a wonderful source of much-needed laughter for me. We have been staying in a motel with an indoor pool, and family members and friends are taking taking turns staying with me and keeping Cole company during the day. He is water logged from so many hours in the pool. My son and daughter are on their way home – driving in from Colorado – so please keep them in your prayers that they will have a safe journey home.
I will try to log on one day soon and update you next week when we know more. Thank you, from the depths of my heart – for all your kind words and continued thoughts and prayers. Please know that even though I do not personally respond to each of your emails, I read each one and I am deeply touched by your act of kindness.
I miss you all….Barb

Barb, I am a complete idiot, I sent you the email asking about the rooster before stopping by and updating myself on your blog. It is unforgivable that I even asked about it, and the only reason I did, was because I didnt want you to think I wasnt thanking you for it. My goodness, I guess with what is going on here with my minor surgery scheduled for this week on my foot, I totally forgot all that you and your family are going thru. You take care of that husband of yours and congrats on the new baby, how exciting! Please forgive me, Sue
