Have you ever searched and searched for something….not really sure what you are searching for – but instantly know its perfect from the second you find it?
I think that’s how most treasures are. I like to say they “find” me instead of the other way around.
I am an avid cook. My kitchen island is big and long….and its filled with everything I need within reach for when I am cooking. My oils, my vinegars, an old scale filled with onions, etc.
I need practicality but I also want aesthetics, too.
I had been searching for something that would hold several things all together. But, everything I found was either too small, too short, too….”something.”
Several months ago, I attended a Willow House Party.
(formerly Southern Living @ Home)
The fact is (shhhhh…) I didn’t really want to go. 🙂
But I walked in and saw the Hostess’ Display…and it was like little Decorating Angels were singing their
“Lookey here! Lookey here!” song.
(what? you don’t hear that song when you find something?)
…and lo and behold….”it” found me. I was in love!
It’s the French Tiered Wire Basket.
(It had me at “French!”)
I love the design….
The top isn’t quite fleur-de-lis, but its close.
It holds everything I need. My oils and vinegars, pepper grinder, my bottles of wine for when I cook (…sometimes I even put it in my food – haha)….my jar of bay leaves and a glass dish of shallots and garlic. All in one compact and oh-so-pretty basket.
It’s Oil I Need! 🙂
Wishing that bountiful treasures “find” you, too….Barb

It also makes a great bread basket, as a long loaf will fit in the bottom basket! Odds and ends go in the top! Glad you love it. It’s an awesome piece!

Congratulations on a great find. Tiered baskets are usually rounded, so they limit what you can store in them, but these flat ones are just perfect. And pretty, too. Form AND function. I love it!
