(UPDATE: I took some different pictures during the day…I didn’t realize how dark the others were.)
This is my first Tablescape after taking a much extended bloggy-break. I am happy to say … I enjoyed putting this together immensely. It didn’t take me long to remember all the reasons why I love Tablescaping.
I am extremely late getting this posted…and I am more than a little late for Susan’s weekly Tablescaping Party…but I hope you will enjoy seeing this year’s formal Dining Room table.
Please make sure you drop by Susan’s blog at Between Naps on the Porch to see all the truly talented Tablescapers who have also joined the party.
Believe it or not – because of the work schedule I have been keeping – I had not bought any new plates in months. (Yes, I said months.)
But a few weeks ago while in Marshall’s – I found these gorgous rust, sage and gold paisley patterned plates which could not hop into my shopping cart fast enough.
I used my favorite gold, square chargers. My tablecloth is a remnant fabric featuring a harlequin pattern with dots of berry and sage. I did not want the tablescape to be too formal, so I added a band of wide, burlap ribbon around the charger. I love the contract of the rustic and the elegance.
I paired the plates with my amber, footed compote bowls which I purchased on clearance at Walmart last year.
Candleholders are filled with pumpkin colored candles…and my beloved ceramic pheasants anchor each end of the table.
Amber and gold-colored stemware….you also see a glimpse of the paisley print napkins.
The centerpiece was created…as always…using last year’s arrangment reconstructed in a new container, along with some additives of pumpkins and guords.
This is one of my favorite finds. They are tealight holders are picks, which can be used in centerpieces. Love these…I think they were $2 ea at Michael’s.
Love my pheasants….
This is a close-up shot of the fabric components….pailsey napkins, harlequin print tablecloth, and burlap wrapped chargers.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my tablescape.
Next….my breakfast room hutch transformation with my new Spode Woodlands Bread Bin.
Take Care My Friends….Barb

Hi Barb! Paintlady here from HGTV! I absolutely adore everything you do. You have such a tremendous style and eye for detail. It’s all in the details, and you do that so well. How do you ever find the time to do such beautiful tablescapes? Are you fortunate to use them with a dinner party or luncheon? You put so much into it. What a joy to view. Thanks for sharing.
