I always start decorating each season in my Dining Room. I love pulling out my plates and setting the table. Because I am saving that for Tablescape Thursday, I wanted to focuis on my mantle. So for this week’s Met Monday….I present my Fireplace Transformation.
Please stop by and visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for more Met Monday participants.
This is the “Before” of my Dining Room’s Fireplace…decorated with my Belgian Tapestry, iron candle sconces, red andgold florals and some of my favorite plates.
I started by removing everything…including the tapestry. A clean palette.
Next, I added a simple gold mirror, a seasonal sign, some floral swags, pumpkins and candleholders….
…..and created this….
I found this sign at HomeGoods for $4.99
I bought the garland over the mirror at Michael’s halfprice, for about $5. The other items were recycled from last year.
… a close-up of all the punkins’ and vines.
Thanks for letting me share my fireplace and mantle. I will be working on my buffet later this week, and tune in for my formal Dining Room tablescape called…”Rustic Elegance.” My hubbs agreed that this might be my prettiest tablescape yet.
