How to Make a DIY Burlap Sign for Fall
There are so many uses for printables. This pretty Fall printable is used to make a burlap sign. The upholstery tacks give this sign an added “DIY” touch.
I bought this cute little Burlap Canvas way back before Spring. I was going to paint on it. Something like a pretty jar of Spring flowers. Well – that didn’t happen. So I pulled it out sometime during the Summer and thought – maybe I can attach a pretty silk Sunflower and create a floral on burlap type project. Well – that never happened either. LOL Now comes Fall and I am still looking at this cute little Burlap Canvas and trying to figure out what I can do with it. That is when I thought of one of the Fall printables I had just completed and suddenly – it all came together.

Here’s How You Make This Sign:
You’ll need a Burlap Canvas and this printable. I used textured card stock for more durability and I also liked the texture of the paper. You can print this FREE Printable below…

I had some of these square upholstery tacks leftover from another project. I knew they would be perfect and would add an additional texture on top of the burlap.
I started by tapping in a tack at each corner…
Originally, my idea was to completely surround the printable with the tacks, sorta like an upholstered chair with tack trim. But, I stood back and well – I kinda liked the simplicity of just the four tacks at each corner.
So, that’s what I stuck with. In this case, that “Less is More” mentality could not have been more true.
I could not have been happier. For less than $10, I made a unique Burlap Sign for Fall. I used a few lines of a favorite Bible quote for the printable.
This little 8×10 Sign will make the perfect accent piece in any room of your home or office.
