Barb, your post is not only well written and beautifully photographed but it is so welcoming and comfortable. Your house is beautiful but it’s also home! I like that in yours just as you said with mine. Our homes are so different but they are still the places that our loved ones come to “sit a spell.” They can look perfect for pictures and then they can relax again! Great job, my friend!

I completely understand, my friend! I’m so glad you made the decision to slow down. You have precious grandkids that you are influence, RIGHT NOW, and making a difference in their lives. There’s nothing more important, IMHO. I didn’t work for almost 20 years (except for occasional singing jobs) and my kids were all important. We’re living the blessings of those years where we sacrificed and invested with no apparent return and it’s amazing! Now I’m in a different season where I’ve discovered a passion that combines my love of creating with writing and encouraging women. I think if we get back to the core of our purpose it’s easier to refocus, but sometimes that requires a lot of soul searching. So go play!
