Until I was in my early 30’s…
I didn’t drink coffee.
I know right? Not drink coffee?
Who doesn’t drink coffee?
I was always an iced-tea kinda gal.
Yes, even first thing in the morning.
I didn’t drink wine, either.
Oh sorry, excuse me while I contain my laughter.
I sure have made up for all those years
of being a non coffee/wine consumer.
I would drink a Coffee Wine if they made it.
🙂
While I am not one of “these” coffee drinkers…
I won’t lie…
I have two dear friends who have inspired me
to create a Coffee Station.
Kathysue at Good Life of Design
created a wonderful coffee station in
her kitchen.
Her area is similar in size to mine.
Kathysue, for the record, is enjoying two
wonderful weeks in Paris and France as I speak.
Talk about some good coffee. Yum!
I love her tray!
Another friend, Shirley at
Housepitality Designs has a dedicated
area in her Butler’s Pantry.
Shirley just may be a bean away from
the “sweet kitty” above. haha
Isn’t her coffee area fabulous?
Our coffee maker used to be located in
our English Pub Bar area, but I wanted
it back by the kitchen sink. There is
just something about walking into the
kitchen to get your morning grind.
So I decided to create a mini-station.
We have a Cuisinart coffeemaker, which uses the
Keurig K-cups. I added a simple white tray to hold the
K-cups, and smaller, lidded-glass containers
for sweetener and my green tea bags.
I had The Hubbs cut me a small piece of
wood for the bottom of a wicker tray which I painted
with chalkboard paint. I think this will
be a great way to let guests know the
different types of coffees I have available.
I also had fun creating a custom set of numbered
coffee mugs. Dollar Store mugs worked perfect for
this project.
A sharpie marker and 30 minutes in the oven at 375
degrees, and the design is now permanent.
I can’t wait to try this out again on some
other projects.
I have one more container to add,
and that will be filled with my biscotti.
(I am not supposed to have this with my gluten allergy,
so let’s keep it a secret, shall we?)
😉
I love waking up in the morning and this little
spot in my kitchen is waiting for me.
I just bought a new Italian blend and some
Chocolate Almond Biscotti.
Excuse me while I go
“Converse with the Cuisinart.”
🙂
Thanks for letting me share my new coffee
station with you.
Here is a round-up of
to go with that perfect cup of Joe…
Thank you for spending a few minutes

What a great coffee station – I love good coffee and wine too :). Believe it or not, we put our coffee maker in storage, and have been using a french press instead.

I love it!! I’m with you on coffee, I’m not like the cat pic, but I love a good cup. I think it’s the ritual of it. Your little station is sweet! Much better than my haggard old maker. 🙂
And now I want biscotti. 🙂

Your coffee station looks really nice. I am not a coffee drinker. I am a hot tea drinker so I would enjoy having a hot tea station one day. Dark chocolate biscotti dipped in hot tea, oh so good.

Barb, I love your coffee station! We are coffee fanatics at our house! I really like those coffee mugs with the numbers on them. Did you use paint or a Sharpie to make them, and did you use a stencil?

I love the basket! I have just started working on my coffee station. I get out of bed each morning when I hear the coffee pot ding that it is done from the pre-set the night before. 🙂
