DIY Icy Winter Branch Arrangement
Craft stores sell winter branches with a delicate coating of “ice.” They are quite expensive. You can easily make your own for pennies using a common household product.
I adore DIY projects that cost me nothing.
Literally. Nothing.
As in FREE!
I mean, isn’t that the essence of DIY? That you can create something for cheaper or less than if you had to buy it? Last week, I shared my DIY Iced Winter Branches and promised I would also show you how I used them. I created an oh-so-easy DIY Icy Winter Branch Arrangement.
*** the following links are affiliate and I may earn a very small commission on each sell. It in no way affects your cost ever. The proceeds help keep this blog going. Thanks for your support.
As I’m sure everyone figures out and is reminded each year, your house seems so empty and dull when all of the Christmas decorations come down and are packed away. It kinda matches the dreary weather outside, huh?
But, I have found if I keep out a few wintery and icy-looking accessories and decorations – I can create some pretty Winter Arrangements that will last until the weather warms a bit.
If you remember… I created my Iced Winter Branches using free twigs from my yard and spray adhesive and Epsom salts which I already had on hand from other projects.
They absolutely could not have been easier to make. To create the Icy Winter Branches Arrangement,I simply filled a galvanized bucket with an assortment of Wintery-looking greenery picks…
… then added a battery-operated candle in the center.
I just randomly poked in the Iced Winter Branches, and added a few flocked pinecones.
I love it’s simplicity.
But best of all, this project did not cost me a single penny, and took me about 10-mins to pull together.
Win-Win-Win!

These are my two favorite combinations this season…galvanized metal and greenery. My readers loved your ice winter branch project, so I’m sure they’ll go crazy over this! Can’t wait to share, and I have epsom salts and may do this to a few of my evergreen branches I still have around the house.
