It’s Tablescape Thursday!
Did you know that the word “tablescape” was added to the Oxford Dictionary in 2006? Yea – who knew?
Tablescaping is the art of decorating your table with a variety of different “tools,” in the form of tablecloths, runners, napkins, and placemats.
What is the Grits and Glamour definition of Tablescape?
because that’s where our host, Susan, shares her beautiful tablescapes
and allows others to share theirs, as well.
Please stop by her blog to visit with all the other Tablescapers in all their glory.
This week – you will have to forgive me for cheating.
You see – I am in the last few days before my sweet grandson and my babies go
back to Colorado.
It’s been a rough day…and it’s getting rougher by the minute.
So – I thought I would share with you a few pics from my inspiration files.
These are some random pics I have saved from here and there….
I love this Easter/Spring table in reds and whites.
This is such as inspirational setting.
I heart this yellow table. So Springy and refreshing.
I would purchase this entire tablesetting, as is, if I could. Yummy!
Holding your pinky finger up while dining is a requirement here.
Love the golds and rusts and earth tone colors…
This setting on a round table has a great flow from one placesetting to another…
This is so simple…but the chartreuse and yellow flowers provide just enough punch to keep this from looking too sterile.
Love the bird-topped cloches.
A bright and energetic placesetting…
Love these cute bird plates….
Finally – this Dining Room pic is from one of the last Model Homes I decorated
while in Colorado.
The builder called me 3 days before the premiere of 6 homes. The designer had
backed out at the last minute.
So I had 3 days to plan, shop and decorate a 3000sf home.
I had to rely strictly on what was available locally – no time to special order.
The furniture was from The Bombay Company. (which I miss)
All the accessories were primarily from Ross, Marshall’s and TJMaxx.
Before I leave…I just wanted to share some cute plates I recently purchased.
They were smaller than I thought they would be – but I have a few things
in mind already.
Look at the darling, little details. Stay tuned!
Please make sure you stop over at
Between Naps on the Porch, with Susan –
and visit all the other Tablescape posts.
Have a Great Tablescape Day…Barb
