Every now and then I will be driving
by and see a Yard Sale or an Estate Sale,
and view something that looks very
interesting – but I keep on going.
Not this time.
No, no, Miss Nelly.
Not this time.
It wasn’t even a Yard Sale, per say.
Two of these chairs were sitting out front
by a church with a sign that said “Free!”
STOP THE VAN!
Certainly not FREE as in No Moolah?
Surely, it was – at the least –
Buy One and Get One Free?
I backed up in the middle of the highway
(that’s why they call it a suicide lane, after all)
so I could get a better look at them.
I had to see if they were
as “aweshum”
(my 2 yr old Grandlove’s new word) 😀
as they looked from the road at 70mph.
I walked around them.
(picture me with my hand on my chin)
Contemplating.
Ruminating.
Deliberating.
Thinking.
AKA – Trying to figure out how
to explain to The Hubbs why I
was hauling home two orange leather
chairs that looked like this…
…and this…
– and had these funky little speaker looking
thingeymajiggies on the back.
What the…..?
I knew when The Hubbs saw them,
this is what he would see.
But the Crafty Dreamer in me saw this….
Awshum-ness.
I even have the perfect spot for them –
My new Living Room painted
Summer Cottage Blue.
(Here is a sneaky peaky)
🙂
By the way, these two pillows are
available in my shop “…details!”
Back to the chairs….
After some research, I have decided to
paint them!
(Collective gasp!)
Yep. Me and ASCP and some creative
transfers from The Graphics Fairy
are gonna get real cozy here soon.
Ohhhhhhh, and by the way.
I donated $20 bucks to the Youth Group
who had spent all day cleaning out the
church getting it ready for the new furniture.
(That’s all the cash I had one me) :-/
I can’t wait to show you my
Trash to Treasure project.
Stay tuned.
xxoo

This is going to be fun to follow Barb. Those are air vents according to J. I guess they make a whoosh sound when you lean back in the chair.LOL I don’t know the reason for this, but I’ve seen them before.

That was a find! I remember those air thingys on the backs of leatherish chairs….I think when you sat in them they didn’t crunch…oh mercy…I am getting old! But really, I do remember them!!

those speaker thingys are for air to escape from the cushion so you don’t bust a seam! That was a great find!
