I planned our Easter Menu today.
Honestly, it really doesn’t vary from year to year that
much. But, I do love the process of planning the menu and
deciding on some new side dishes.
I also love thinking of easy centerpieces, as I usually
have two tables. I think I will set tables which are
more casual this year. Right down to Mason Jar glasses.
That got me thinking – I could use the same Mason Jars
and fill them with colorful egg candies to use as vases.
Mason Jar Easter Centerpieces

Bloggers, so please follow through until the end where I will
share all of their projects, too.
………………………………………
I usually set the formal table which seats ten.
Then, I set the smaller table which seats six.
We don’t have a “children’s table” at our home.
Everyone, including the children, sit wherever they like.
So both tables are decorated and set the same.
I will add one large Mason Jar Centerpiece on the smaller
table, and three Mason Jar Centerpieces in a line down
the larger table. I think they will add the perfect amount
of color and texture, and will enhance my relaxed, casual
Easter theme.
I used these speckled pastel egg candies.
I love their soft palette.
I looked for a large jar, and found this one at Hobby Lobby.
I also found a cylinder style vase at the Dollar Store.
I topped it with some foil, which will make sense later.
The cylinder vase was placed in the center of the Mason Jar…
This size jar took three bags of candy eggs.
The foil allowed me to pour in the eggs and not allow any to
go into the cylinder.
Next, I filled the cylinder about 2/3 with water.
*(and a few drops of Clorox to help the life of the fresh blooms)
I picked daffodils and fuchsia azalea and one of my 4 stems of
blooming forsythia.
😀
Finally, I added a pastel colored ribbon and a hand-written
Easter Message.
For the record, daffodils are one of my favorite Spring flowers.
Followed by Azaleas of any color.
I love the way these simple Spring blooms play well with
the Mason Jar. Not too stuffy or formal.
I will pair these centerpieces with basic white dishes,
and I have in mind some plaid napkins in matching pastel colors.
Simple. Relaxed. Easy.
I look forward to sharing our Easter tables in the next few
weeks. Now, I just need to finish my menu.
Hope you enjoyed this Mason Jar Easter Centerpiece idea.
xxoo, Barb
