When a Blogger starts a new weekly adventure, you do so not knowing if it will be a success, or if anyone will even read the post –
… or throw virtual rotten tomatoes at it. (ouch!)
The only indication that a weekly feature is a success are the number of hits a post receives, and also the number of comments readers leave.
But, I think you really like this newest Friday Feature. I think it’s because you love discovering a good blog just like me. So, I am happy to say my “I Love Blogs” experiment will be a permanent feature here at The Everyday Home for quite some time. Thanks for your feedback and for making this a well-liked weekly event.
So let’s get started…
1) Housepitality Designs
I met Shirley last year, not long after she started blogging and we became friends right away. She has a beautiful home outside of Raleigh, NC – wich I have had the pleasure of seeing in person and being an overnight guest.
Shirley has impeccable taste and her gorgeous Southern home reflects the passion she has for design. But, most of all – she has a wonderful sense of humor that comes through her blog posts.
She has a special way with vignettes of all kinds. But, her tablescapes are amazing – because she is always on the lookout for special and unique accessories.
I mean, just look at her Christmas 2012 Table if you don’t believe me….
See! Don’t you feel a little silly for doubting me now? 🙂
Shirley just recently announced that she will be going into a partnership with Amy at Atta Girl Says in a booth at Melville Trading Co in Mebane, NC.
Shirley has a collection of antiques and vintage-ware that is amazing, and I can’t wait to see their booth. Please stop by and visit Shirley at her blog Housepitality Designs, and also make plans to visit her antique and vintage booth if you are near Mebane, NC.
2) Adventures in Decorating
Becca! Becca! Becca!
(It’s kinda like Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!) 🙂
I met Becca in person at the Southern Bloggers Conference last year in October, and yes – she is as beautiful in person as she is in her picture.
This busy wife, mom and self-professed “obsessed with decorating” lady has a beautiful home!
Take a quick peak at her Home Tour.
I especially love her Spring/Easter Mantel. LOVE!
Becca and her hubby just completed a Master Bath Re-Do and its gorgeous. She imparted her usual great style and taste into this space.
Here is the Before:
And the After…
Wowza! Don’t you love it?
Becca also makes custom mesh wreaths.
Are you in love yet? Please make sure you hop over and say hello to Becca at Adventures in Decorating, browse her wreath shop and tour her lovely home. You will not be disappointed.
3) The Rustic Pig
Claire is one of my newest blog finds, too. Sometimes you stumble upon a blog and you feel right at home. The Rustic Pig is that kind of blog.
First of all, the name of the blog just makes me smile. I mean, who doesn’t like a Rustic Pig? 🙂
But her home is anything but Rustic… it is beautiful and tasteful and unforgettable!
Take a quick look at her kitchen in her Home Tour…
Isn’t that the greatest pantry door ever?
But among Claire’s many talents, the one thing she does that amazes me the most is her ability to turn a worn-out, often thrown away piece of furniture such as this…
… into this work of art.
Ahhh-mazing! Love!
You won’t wanna miss out on seeing Clair’s home and projects. You will spend quite a bit of time perusing her blog, The Rustic Pig.
=======================================================================
So that’s my Friday Features this week. I am pretty sure – no let’s make that absolutely sure – you will also LOVE these blogs as much as I do.
On a side note…our washer and dryer arrived today. Those poor darlings have already gotten a good workout this afternoon, and I am so pleased that I finally….once again – have clean undies.
“As God as my witness, I will nevah have dirty underware again.” 🙂
Oh yea, if you would like to receive a dose of
The Everyday Home and clean underwear in your email whenever a new post comes out, you can subscribe by email HERE.
Or follow along with Facebook, Google+, Twitter RSS Feed and Pinterest …
