I have to be honest with you.
My home currently has very little
Spring or Easter decor.
(gasp!)
“But, but…but…you BLOG!”
I know, I know. It’s my DUTY, huh?
🙂
Well, between the Laundry demo and trying to get my house back in order, and packing for a trip to Florida in a week… plus the fact that we are celebrating Easter at my sister’s house…
I decided to take it easy this year.
But, I so loved my Easter decor from last year,
I hope you don’t mind if I share it with you again.
I am sharing my Easter Mantel.

I think of all the areas in my home which I love to decorate, I love to decorate my
mantel for the different Holidays the most.
I actually have two mantels.
But, the one which seems to get the most
attention is the one in my formal Dining Room.
attention is the one in my formal Dining Room.
The plans for my Easter Mantel went thru a
drastic turn of plans a few weeks ago.
drastic turn of plans a few weeks ago.
I ordered this beautiful vintage-style poster.
Oh my! Such big plans I had for it.
But, they sent the wrong size and I didn’t have enough time to send it back and order a new one.
That’s also about the time I realized my cute
black and white toile plates were too large
for my tablescape.

Well…..Hello Mantel! 🙂
One day at Marshall’s, I discovered
“Beaumont.” (That’s what I named him.
He just looks like a “Beaumont” doesn’t he?)

I love his Frenchy script fabric.
Frenchy script fabric, black and white toile plates…suddenly Plan B formed.
I had been wanting to try my hand at making fabric roses for some time, and thought I could add them to this project.
I added them to my lampshades with some
straight pins.
straight pins.
The only other changes I made was to replace the colorful eggs in Beaumont’s basket with a single white egg where I wrote “Happy Easter.”
I also added some Springy florals and some
white-painted curly twigs to my Italian pitchers.

This is a simple mantelscape.
Not a lot of fluff and stuff like I usually do.
(well, simple for me that is.) 😉
But, I love the way it came together.
I think it also compliments my Easter Table.
You can see my post about my Easter Table HERE.
Here is a view at night…
And if there isn’t enough Spring loveliness in my home, I thought I would share a sneakie peakie of what is happening outside my home.
My Carolina jasmine is in bloom.
The honey bees are quite busy and
loving every bloom.

Your mantel looks so pretty! I’ve always wanted some of those little plates and haven’t bought them. The want isn’t going away so I need to go track them down. 🙂 I always just love the way your mantel is set up with the lamps on both sides. I’d like to do something like that in our family room…searching for the best lamps now.
View CommentDefinitely worth a second look, Barb! You did a really nice job on your mantel last year. I love those plates! Love that the florals are not “in your face” and give a soft look. Your bunnies are adorable. I have so many, and many that I keep out all year long because I just love bunnies, that I find it hard to justify buying a new one when I see them. Sometimes I can’t resist though.
View CommentLovely! I don’t have a lot of touches in my decor either. I set a table just to blog about – guess that’s about the extent of it for me! I plan to make an Easter dinner just for the 5 of us this year 🙂
View CommentEverything is beautiful. Love the pink on the table, the new rabbit, the white plates on the mantel, the jasmine, more and more. Thank you for bringing me joy.
View CommentI’m so glad you posted your photos from last year as I hadn’t seen them!
Perhaps you’d like to link this post next weekend at SEASONAL SUNDAYS.

I love it all, every single piece and it all looks beautiful together.
View CommentYou wouldn’t think that black & white would work for Easter, but you have created a wonderful look, the pink touches soften everything and it looks springtime fresh! That’s ok that it was last year, sometimes we just have to fake it! It was new to me and adorable!
