I have a thing for little, country churches.
Wood clapboards and black shutters and tall steeples.
I have a whole Pinterest Board dedicated to these reverent
buildings, especially ones coated in snow with fresh
greenery wreaths on the doors with bright, red bows.
You know the ones.
You may even attend one of these very churches.
I have a little miniature version of one of these churches.
I wanted to recreate the same country setting.
Here is my miniature version of a
Little Country Church in the Woods Christmas Centerpiece
I found this vintage, enamelware pot at my parent’s house.

After some light begging, my Mama let me “borrow” it.
I knew it would be perfect for what I had in mind.

After potting three miniature cedars, I nestled my
little, wooden church in a bed of snow.
I couldn’t resist adding a tiny wreath to the front door.

Smaller and various sizes of bottle-brush trees line the sides…

A few tiny, red balls add some color.

On each side, I placed two turned-wood candleholders which
hold these amazing Mason Jar Candles with a deer silhouette.

A ring for red berries adds another country touch.
Red berries makes everything more “Christmas-y.”

Finally – a heavy coating of snow in the trees creates
the perfect setting.

The centerpiece is placed on a red French-striped runner.
I love this little Church in the Woods Centerpiece, especially
when the Deer Sihouette candles are on and the lights of the
Colorful and Whimsical Christmas Tree
are twinkling in the background…

Gosh Barb, it’s a good thing you don’t live near me, cause you would have to frisk me every time I left your house! I love every single thing. You are one talented lady, my friend!
View CommentYou are so sweet. LOL I would probably invite you to take something so you could help me out with my little hoarding issue. 😀 Thanks for stopping by. xxoo, Barb
View CommentWhat a cute centerpiece! I love little country churches!
View CommentI do too. I am almost obsessed with them. We hiked about 4 miles once in the mountains to see an abandoned one years ago and I will never forget that peacefulness. Thanks for stopping by. xxoo
View CommentWhat a pretty centrepiece. We were definitely on the same wavelength for this blog hop! I love country churches too! ;o)
View CommentYour Church in the Woods centerpiece is adorable! Love the white bucket you used to corral the trees and sweet church.

Well, I’m glad your “light” begging worked! Your Mama would approve of the charming church in the woods Christmas vignette you created on top of her enamelware. I love the added trees and cute wreath … and the deer silhouette candles tucked in the mason jars flanking it are fabulous. You always style such warm, inviting, creative and beautiful holiday vignettes! Happy to be blog hopping with you today … Happy Holidays!
View CommentBarb, your little church is absolutely precious! Love your mama’s bucket!
View CommentThe church in the woods in the enamel bucket is so beautiful…such a beautiful and creative idea….I will have to show this to my sister-in-law as she makes beautiful bird houses. I love contained vignettes especially on dining tables as they are easy to remove when necessary….Great and beautiful job!
View CommentSo cute Barb! I’m one of those who used to set up villages when the kids were little and it’s just too much work now~but a village in a pot seems doable 😉
View CommentSuch a sweet centerpiece! Thanks for sharing it with us!
View CommentOh, Barb! No one does it better – this is just so sweet and charming! A perfect centerpiece. Now let’s sing… Oh, come, come, come, come. Come to the church in the wildwood. Oh, come to the church in the dale… 😉
View CommentBe a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
I love this centerpiece. It has that vintage feel of how Christmas used to be.
View CommentOh my goodness… a whole city block in a bucket! ADORABLE! So in love with this Barb!
View CommentLOL that is funny. I never thought of it that way. Sure wish I had that “block” near me. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Donna. Merry Christmas. xxoo, Barb
View CommentWhat a beautiful centerpiece Barbara!!! What a fun idea! Maybe you should see about keeping that sweet enamel piece 😉
View CommentThat is the sweetest church and I love how you have used it with the greenery in the pot! That really says “Christmas” to me and seriously takes me back to my childhood and my grandparents’ little white church. So pretty and unique!!
View CommentThanks Anita that is sweet, and I love it evoked memories for you. Thanks for stopping by. ~Barb
View CommentHi Barb,
This is so pretty. I especially love the way you added greens to the back in a dense grouping to make it look like the woods. Very clever.
View CommentThat’s exactly the look I wanted. I am glad it came across that way. Thanks for your nice words and for stopping by. ~Barb
View CommentI saw your church during the link up and was admiring it. It’s great to see it now up close – so adorable. I have a thing for miniature churches during the holidays too. Pinned to share 🙂
View CommentWhat a great vignette Barb! What a good mama you have to let you “borrow” the enamel pail.
View CommentYour centerpiece is so adorable. I have that exact church, so I know how I will be using it this Christmas. Thank you for the inspiration, just lovely.
