I use these over-the-door shoe organizers, shown above, in various ways to help me stay organized throughout my home. One is hung just inside my coat closet door.
Some other ways I utilize these pocket organizers:
2) I have a small section hanging on the inside cabinet door above my washer and dryer to hold my dryer sheets, stain stick, large plastic safety pins (this is how I keep my socks when I wash them so they are not sucked into that great black hole of missing socks) – and other laundry necessities.
3) When my son was a teenager and still at home, I added a plastic version of this organizer to the back of his shower curtain by inserting the grommet holes of the organizer into a shower curtain ring. He kept his myriad of hair products, shave products and “teenage beautifying” products in these pockets. It kept them off the deck and sides of the tub so when he cleaned his tub…okay who I am fooling?…when mom cleaned his tub I didn’t have to scrub around “Beautyrama.”
4) Finally, I have one behind a cabinet door in my kitchen where I store pencils, pens, small post-it notes, scissors, tape, etc. I used to have a “junk drawer” until it reproduced and gave birth to another junk drawer next to it. I find this method keeps everything I need handy, frees up a drawer (or two)…and for some strange reason it stays neat and organized.
My sister uses one for greeting cards, stationary and thank you notes. I think that is awesome. Of course, I would have to be more like her and actually remember everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries for this to work for me.
I bet I am not the only one to use these for storage and organization. What are some of your uses for this versatile and inexpensive product? Please share your ideas.
Blessings, Barb

Great ideas Barb. I think I can use all of them. I still have a junk drawer and it drives me crazy. Now I should be able to find a note pad and pen. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Marty
