The one thing I dislike the most after the Christmas decor comes down…is how plain the house looks.
The one thing I like the most after the Christmas decor comes down…is how plain the house looks. LOL
It’s always a challenge to add a touch of personality to your home’s decor that doesn’t look too Christmas-y or too Springy. It’s the in-between season where it’s cold outside and you just want your home to feel welcoming and cozy. That is when I pull out cute pillow covers, lots of fur throw pillows and throws, and go to town. I decided to create and share these Four Free Winter Printables, which can be framed and added around your home, or can also be ordered in pillow covers.

I think the easiest way to change your decor is with the use of pillows. The secret to having lots of pillows, is not to actually purchase the complete pillow – but instead pillow covers which can be easily switched and most of all, can be easily stored. I learned this lesson the hard way several years ago when it became apparent that I had waaaayyy too many pillows to store between seasons. That is when I started purchasing and making pillow covers. By the way, these are my fave hypoallergenic pillow cover inserts. I have several of these in different sizes, but the size I probably use the most is 16×16 and 12×12.
All this weekend, I will be working on adding some Wintery warm and cozy accents. I have a project in mind for the English Hutch in our Living Room. If it works out, you will see it here soon. Ha!
I am sooooo happy to share that these same printable designs, as seen above, are also available in pillow covers, too, through my Society6 online shop, The Everyday Home Blog Collection.

This post inspired me to go over to amazon to look for pillow covers. Wow, I had no idea there were so many choices! I started out with Christmas pillow covers for my home, then realized they would make great gifts. You might caution your readers to order early because the ones shipped from China take a loooong time to arrive. Thanks for sharing.
