Easy, Peasy.
There really is no other way to describe this wreath.
I called it an Easy 2-Step Wreath because, well,
Easy 1-Step Wreath seemed a little elementary.
But, honestly, a 2-Step Wreath may be an exaggeration.
😀
I love creating wreaths from start to finish.
Layers of greenery and floral and fillers and more.
But, I also love taking the easy route and 5-minutes later –
being able to have a beautiful wreath.
Here’s how I created a wreath for our recent flip house.
…………………………………………
So I’m standing in the middle of the flip house Living Room.
I need a wreath. I have a faux eucalyptus wreath, but I need
something more. Something soft with color and texture.
Off I go to Hobby Lobby.
I knew exactly what I needed. A floral garland.
I chose a peony and hydrangea design.
Once home, it was a quite “complicated” procedure.
I will try to explain it in detail as clearly as possible so you
don’t miss a step.
Step 1:
Choose a base. You can use a grapevine base, or
do like I did – and use a greenery wreath you already have.
Step 2:
(it’s ok to overlap the garland if needed)
Then, secure the garland with wire or jute ties.
Step 3:
There isn’t a Step Three.
That’s all.
😀
Fluff. Hang. Stand Back.
Do a little happy Wreath Dance.
Giggle like a school girl.
Look around.
See if anyone noticed you giggling like a school girl.
Then, enjoy your wreath.
I hung my Wreath over my vintage Tobacco Basket.
I love the juxtaposition of the soft, florals against the rustic wood.
A large blue, burlap bow adds a burst of color
and pulls out the blue of the candles on each side of the mantel.
The colors of the garland tie in beautifully with the colors of the room.
The garland was 50% off.
Still a bit pricey, but because I did not permanently attach it, I
can use it again and again for future projects.
And, if you want to make up a few more steps to impress your friends
when describing the process of making this wreath –
well, that’s between you and me.
*wink*
Thanks for letting me share!
