When the pumpkins start coming out, Barb is a very happy girl.
I know the trend is white and tans and neutrals. I love seeing this style in other’s homes. I wish I was able to pull it off in my home, but somehow or another, color just creeps in and before I know it – the neutrality is pushed out. I can’t help it. And that is especially true when Fall and Christmas rolls around. I get out my decor bins and it’s as if the second I left the lids, color just pours out. 🙂
Creating a Cozy Farmhouse Fall Vignette
……………………………………………..
Earlier this week, I shared my 5-Tips for Styling a Tiered Stand for Fall. Here is how my Vignette started….
This tiered stand filled with pumpkins and grapevine set the tone of the decor in the Breakfast Room. Rustic and Traditional with touches of Farmhouse elements. Next I added one of my chalkboards and a dried bay wreath.
( I will share some resources where you can find these same elements below)
I added a green and cream striped ribbon to hang the wreath, plus a few colorful Fall berries.
Don’t you just love the pale green of the dried Bay?
Because the Tiered Stand was so abundant, I didn’t want to add too many more elements. I know I am known for the “More is ore” style of decorating, but I there’s also something to be said about “giving it a rest.”
So a metal lantern and a set of antlers was all I added. I think these items finished off the vignette perfectly. Although I did add one other small item…one of my faves. I added a cozy autumnal throw over a vintage child’s high chair.
I am happy one side of my breakfast room area is completed. In the next few days I will share the other side where Cleetus the Pig resides. Here is a peek at how I decorated this area last year.

In the meantime, here is one last look at my current Fall Vignette ….
