We have two recliners in our great room too. Husband like yours said “that was a must.” Oh well it’s his house too and we’ve made them work. Your pictures are beautiful and your family room is so nice. I love the colors.Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We compromised and purchased Pottery Barn Leather club chairs with matching ottomans – they are so comfy – so we can still recline with our feet up and the ottomans are handy for extra seating or for using to set trays of food and drinks on when we have company! Your room is beautiful Barb!! Love the English pub bar too!! Thanks for sharing it at Project Inspired!

I too have had this love/hate relationship with recliners. I knew my disabled husband needed one and was happy we could get one for him. After he passed away I intended to give it to Goodwill, but before I could make arrangments to have it taken off; I suffered a fall and slammed my shoulder into the pavement. I was unable to sleep comfortably in a bed and had to sleep in that recliner for several days. I now prefer to think of it as a comfortable lived in retro chair. It has pride of place in my living room. Regena in TN.

I’m not completely opposed to recliners as a whole, but I would much prefer the ones that look more like that chair with the ottoman in your picture. I like the recliners incognito, so to speak!

Barb, what a wonderful trip, that palace I unbelievable and the gardens amazing. I have several family members that go there year after year for vacation and they never tire of what it has to offer. They are also huge history buffs!

Looks like a lot of fun, Barb! I’ve never toured there, just visited. I would love to go if I could get my homebody family away from the beach!

Barb I love the picture of you and your honey, great picture of both of you. Oh how I want to go back, you did a fabulous job showing us Williamsburg. The Rockefeller kitchen cupboards reminded me of my color in the kitchen, and oh how I want that sink and stove. I am a throw back of the 1930s I guess. Loved my guided tour with you,
