Hi Barb…
Ohh nooo Mr. Linky took off…why the nerve of that man!!! I noticed that Diane from A Picture Is Worth A 1000 Words lost her Mr. Linky too! Hmmm…must be something with their site! So sorry Darlin’…this is no time for Mr. Linky to be fickle…not in the middle of your Porch and Patio Party!!!
Well my friend, your porch is absoltutely fabulous!!! What a stunning transformation!!! You were absolutely right about removing the columns…it just opened everything up! Girl, you know that I love my reds and greens…so your pretty porch is right up my alley…wait, sorry…we’re talking porches not alleys! Hehe! I just love how you made this area into an outdoor room…with furniture, tables, lamps and even wall art…what a grand idea!!! I would just love to spend time out here…just enjoying the great outdoors!!! Those big white rockers are perfect to just sit back and relax and I love all of the pretty decorative pillows!!! All of your fabrics are gorgeous…they are exactly my style and taste!!! Oooh…and I love your pretty lamp! Of course, I had to click your link to see how you made the shade…it’s fabulous, Darlin’!!! And all of your accessories on the tables are just darling!!!
Well my friend, I do apologize for not participating in your Porch Party and I hate to admit it but we haven’t even begun any work on ours yet…our yard is just now coming to life from a very long and cold winter! Nevertheless, I have my big ol’ glass of tea in hand and I do plan on making my rounds…this is going to be great fun!!! Thank you so much for hosting this fabulous party, Darlin’!!! You’re the best!!!
Love ya,
Chari
PS…By the way, I lovvvvveee your red door!!! Your home is gorgeous!!!

I love everything you’ve done! We painted our front door red and it made a huge difference. Never thought about using artwork or a lamp…You are so creative and have made me think about other possibilities!
Porch and Patio Party!!!
What a fabulous porch. I love that you used a white surround to set off that red door. Looks great. Now your husband will always trust your vision I’m sure.
Porch and Patio Party!!!
Just came across your blog this morning…LOVE your site! The porch makeover is to die for! LOVE the red door. My brick is about the same color and yours, with a black door. The red looks AWESOME…may have to give it a try!

Barb, what a wonderful trip, that palace I unbelievable and the gardens amazing. I have several family members that go there year after year for vacation and they never tire of what it has to offer. They are also huge history buffs!

Looks like a lot of fun, Barb! I’ve never toured there, just visited. I would love to go if I could get my homebody family away from the beach!

Barb I love the picture of you and your honey, great picture of both of you. Oh how I want to go back, you did a fabulous job showing us Williamsburg. The Rockefeller kitchen cupboards reminded me of my color in the kitchen, and oh how I want that sink and stove. I am a throw back of the 1930s I guess. Loved my guided tour with you,
