Barb, I promise you, I have never seen a more inviting porch! You were just brilliant to take down those columns. Not only does it give you a better view from the porch; it also gives a better view OF the porch, and it just looks so charming. Talk about making the outdoors an extension of your indoors, you have done that and done it beautifully! Artwork on the wall, lamps, tables, apples, and even a rooster! Can you tell I love your front porch? And that pillow–well, Barbie, I have to agree–you’ve got everything! laurie

Porch and Patio Party!!!
I love everything you’ve done! We painted our front door red and it made a huge difference. Never thought about using artwork or a lamp…You are so creative and have made me think about other possibilities!
Porch and Patio Party!!!
What a fabulous porch. I love that you used a white surround to set off that red door. Looks great. Now your husband will always trust your vision I’m sure.
Porch and Patio Party!!!
Just came across your blog this morning…LOVE your site! The porch makeover is to die for! LOVE the red door. My brick is about the same color and yours, with a black door. The red looks AWESOME…may have to give it a try!

Barb, what a wonderful trip, that palace I unbelievable and the gardens amazing. I have several family members that go there year after year for vacation and they never tire of what it has to offer. They are also huge history buffs!

Looks like a lot of fun, Barb! I’ve never toured there, just visited. I would love to go if I could get my homebody family away from the beach!

Barb I love the picture of you and your honey, great picture of both of you. Oh how I want to go back, you did a fabulous job showing us Williamsburg. The Rockefeller kitchen cupboards reminded me of my color in the kitchen, and oh how I want that sink and stove. I am a throw back of the 1930s I guess. Loved my guided tour with you,
