Comment on How to Paint a Faux Brick Backsplash by Barb.
You are so welcome. I love my backsplash. I made some mistakes installing mine. Just make sure you don’t try to scrimp and buy an extra sheet if neceesary so you can match up the bricks exactly. π (I thought I could spackle it to blend) The first time I painted I used latex paint. I went back behind the sink where I get the most splash and painted an oil-based product.
BTW, this product is only available at Lowe’s as far as I can tell. And its in the paneling section, fyi. Good luck, let me know when you have it in. π Blessings, Barb

Colleen, no I never had any issues and it was up for several years. I painted it with a latex primer and paint, so maybe that helped. But, I never had any trouble. Hope that helps. Thanks, Barb

Yes, its a red brick with a black grout. I used a standard interior Kilz and interior white paint in an eggshell. Hope this helps. π ~Barb

Kelly, you should be able to caulk the seams some. Even mine are noticeable if you look real close. I just kept adding caulk, letting it dry, and adding more caulk until I thought it blended pretty well. Make sure you use a paintable, latex caulk. I used the kind in a tube with a caulking gun. Hope this helps. π ~barb
