Another week. Another project. Another recipe. Another diet blown. 😀
Friday means the end of a long week which was chock-a-block full. The Great Laundry Room Saga continues on, and we are one day closer to being completed. Tomorrow the final paint touches should be wrapped up, last of the trim put up, and the flooring starts to go down. Woot!
Friday also means I get to highlight three more of my favorite blogs. And I am super excited to highlight this week’s selection.
You see – these are three ladies whom I met strictly through the Internet and blogging. I never knew them before a few years ago, but I feel like I have known them forever. They are part of a little online group we formed. There are nine of us all together, including one dear friend in Canada. Nine beautiful and strong and caring women who came together, all because of the Internet.
I am happy to introduce you to three of these ladies who blog…
1) Good Life of Design …enjoy the process
Kathysue lives in California, and you may remember I did several posts about my Cali Trip when myself and another friend, Jeanette, went out for a wonderful week to visit Kathysue.
Kathysue is a wonderful designer, albeit a retired one. She designs for herself now and an occasional friend, and is in fact in the middle of a redesign of her family room.
She has a wonderful way of combining fabrics and patterns, but what I love most about Kathysue and her blog, Good Life of Design, is that she knows her style and she is true to it.
One of the many things I love about her is her innate ability to put together the most beautiful tablescapes, and I love her “process of design” she goes through to get the end result.
This is her 2012 Easter Table in Pale Blue and Yellow…
Simply lovely! If you don’t follow Good Life of Design and Kathysue, you are truly missing out on some beautifully written and thoughtful posts. Please hop over and follow along.
2) Confessions of a Plate Lover:
I am pretty sure you may have already heard about Debbie, or Deb as we call her. Deb is the sweetest, kindest Southern gem you could ever meet.
Here we are last year in Atlanta when I went to Haven and she met a group of us for dinner.
Deb is one of the biggest Francophiles I have ever known. As a former French teacher, she had the ultimate pleasure of living in France for several years, and travels back there as often as she can.
Needless to say, her home features an abundance of beautiful French Country Style.
One of the things Deb may be most famous for is her ability to produce amazing craft projects such as her Pottery Barn Knock-off Pillow…
…and her amazing Vignettes.
Cute St Paddy’s Day Projects and Vignette
I am so proud that Deb’s home was recently photographed during the Christmas holiday to be featured in Country Sampler magazine later this year. I can’t wait to see her home in print.
If you want to wile away a few hours, head on over to Confessions of a Plate Addict. You won’t be disappointed.
3) A Stroll Thru Life
My friend Marty is simply an amazing woman and a very dear and classy lady. Marty and her husband, a Master Gardener, lives in Arizona. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Marty in person yet, but one day soon I hope.
Marty is a ball of energy, and one of the most talented seamstresses I know, other than my own mother. She designs and creates all of the window treatments, pillows and much more within her beautiful home.
Look at this beautiful shower curtain she designed and made.
Marty also puts together some beautiful vignettes…
…and another cute kitchen display.
But what Marty is most famous for is for hosting
Tabletop Tuesday.
Marty also hosts several Cloche Parties throughout the year.
You will love the Linky Parties at A Stroll Thru Life, and if you do not participate – you should visit and enjoy all of the beautiful entries. Tell Marty hi for me while you are there!
===================================
I hope you enjoyed this week’s Featured Blogs.
They are three of my faves, but I am a bit partial to the blog owners. 🙂
Oh by the way…
Here is a quick little peak at the bead board ceiling in the Laundry Room. I was halfway through painting when I snapped this on my iPhone…
Its hard to see here (sorry the pic is so dark) but this is the prettiest blue – soft and pale simply perfect. I had to paint all of the grooves by hand.
Here is the little ditty that I kept singing…
“99 Grooves on the ceiling to paint, 99 grooves on the ceiling – paint one line – move the ladder down, 98 grooves on the ceiling to paint.”
😀
I am happy to report the ceiling, at the time of this posting, is painted! Woot!
Have a great weekend everyone. I hope to show you a little more of the Laundry Room project on Monday – Lord willing and the flood don’t come. xxoo

You are too funny Barb. If I was painting that ceiling I would need the bottles in the song lyrics to get through the job.
