Welcome to the
“Better Late Than Never”
Thanksgiving Inspirations Blog Hop Party.
I have the pleasure of co-hosting this
event with three other beautiful ladies:
Amy at Atta Girl Says
Suzy at Worthing Court
and
Laura at Top This, Top That
This is your chance to share your
Thanksgiving Inspirations
– be it a decor project, a craft or even a recipe.
Speaking of recipes…
I made some
Homemade Crockpot Pumpkin Butter.
Two simple words will describe this recipe.
1) Easy.
2) Yum!
Yep, I could not describe it any better.
The recipe called for basic ingredients.
I made a substitute of organic agave for the sugar.
Basic “Fall” spices were used.
Just measure, pour, dump, stir, turn on the pot…and go.
After several hours –
(…during which our house smelled
(…during which our house smelled
ah-mazing might I add)…
I had a beautiful, caramel-colored pot of
yummy, rich Pumpkin Butter.
yummy, rich Pumpkin Butter.
I already had these cute little canning jars.
But, I also had some gorgeous mini-jars I bought at Tyler Florence’s store in Mill Valley, Ca when I went to California and visited with
Kathysue at The Good Life of Design.
Don’t you just love them?
After sterilizing them and following the proper canning procedures…I ended up with several jars like this…
So what does one do with all of this
Pumpkin Butter?
Most jars will be given as small take-home
gifts at Thanksgiving with some
homemade Gingerbread.
gifts at Thanksgiving with some
homemade Gingerbread.
But, we have also been enjoying some for breakfast…
Toasted Streusal-Pecan Bread.
With Coffee.
Yum.
I haven’t made Pumpkin Butter in several years, as I have been making Homemade Apple Sauce.
I forgot how wonderful and aromatic it is.
If Fall had a “taste.”
It would be Pumpkin Butter.
Pumpkin. Cloves. Cinnamon. Nutmeg.
All in one little glass jar.
Want to try making your own Pumpkin Butter?
Here is the recipe I used.
I did add some ground ginger, vanilla and
1/2 cup brown sugar.
So easy. And think what great gifts they would make for family, friends, neighbors, teachers….
So now its your turn.
What lovely Thanksgiving Inspiration do you have to share? We can’t wait to see all of your projects.
Each of us will be picking our favorites and showcasing them on our blogs.
All we ask if you join our Blog Hop is that
you link back to at least one of our blogs.
That’s all. If you want to use our Blog Hop
Button, that’s ok too. 🙂
Thanks for joining in…
