Yay or Nay Thursday #9

I’m sorry if it seemed like I dropped off the map for a few days.  In a way… I did.  At the beginning of the week I was at the High Point Furniture Show with some other fantastic bloggers.

I borrowed this picture from my friend, Shirley, at Housepitality Designs.  I am not in the pic because, unfortunately, I had to leave a day early.

Recognize anyone?  (l to r)  Suzie with Worthing Court, Shirley, Rhoda at Southern Hospitality, Amy at Atta Girl Says, Kim at Savvy Southern Style, Kristen at Sophia’s and Courtney at French Country Cottage.  It was beyond awesome to be able to spend time with all of these incredible women.

I will be sharing some pics from the Furniture Show, and also pics from the Designer’s Show House we attended.  You will NOT believe this home.  Think Ann Boleyn!

Last week for Yay or Nay Thursday, I asked what you guys felt about a certain subject…

Magnetic Knife Strips

Without a doubt, it was a resounding NAY.  🙂

In fact, I can’t think of a previous Yay or Nay Thursday where there was such a resounding opinion against a certain look.

But at least you did not say you were going to rush out and buy one of these…

LOL.  Thank goodness.

So… I picked a subject that was a little less “scarier” as some of you described the magnetic knife holders.  I think you will LOVE this topic.

 PILLOWS!

(source)

I love them!

In fact, The Hubbs would say I have a mild psychotic attachment to them.  🙂

Ok, maybe this many pillows is a bit much…

(source)
But I love this…

(source)
… and this –

(source)
… and especially this.  (sigh!)

(source)
Here are some of my favorite pillows on my Living Room Sofa….

You see, I heart pillows!  I love the “Charles Faudre Pillows Galore” style.

What about you? Are you the more toned-down “one or two pillows max” kinda person, or the “over-the-top maxed out pillows” person?

(source)
Maybe you are the “Less is More” kinda gal.

And that’s ok, too.  I know The Hubbs wishes I were more like that, rather than like this…

(source)
…. or this!

(source)
So now it’s your turn.

Yay or Nay to Pillows.

Aren’t you glad I didn’t ask you about knives again?   😀

Well, You know I love a good pillow and if you asked my hubby he would say we have waaay to many, but I think I am a less is more kind of gal. I will put 3-4 on my sofa, but no more and on my bed same thing, not too many for me, but enough to look cozy. Hubby says I have never met a pillow or a lamp or a mirror I don’t like, lol

Yay! But my husband calls me the pillow ho, thanks to a closet that is filled with pillows. More is best when it comes to pillows!

Yay to pillows…just bought new ones for my living room and media room…and then came home yesterday with new ones for one of the porches and my hubby just shook his head…I think we all can say “yay” to pillows, but I do not think the hubbies are in agreement. I am definitely showing him these comments as he thinks I am the only one that is a pillow fanatic.

What is not to love about a pillow?! Yes, I love them. They are comforting to look at and to use. Surely, that is why the first pillow must have come to be.

YAY TO PILLOWS!!!! (I even shouted that because I’m behind it 100%). I love the look of layered pillows. Even more, I love to sink into a bed or sofa covered with layered pillows. The Hubs……not so much. “Why do we have so many pillows?” Well, duh…… And the dog goes bonkers when she jumps up on the bed or sofa and the pillows are in her way. She flips them back between her legs to get down to the bare bed/sofa. It’s fun to watch. I consider it a bonus as she entertains me with her pillow removing antics. But neither the Hubs, nor the dog, deter me from having too many pillows!!! “They’re so FLUFFY!”

Yes…definitely yes…but I do have a three pillow limit! Otherwise, seems like they always end up on the floor! I’m gonna come back and read all of the comments…think they are going to be funny! 😉

The more the merrier is my opinion about pillows. My husband says one head, one pillow.

Now, Barb! What a question! Yes, we love pillows! 🙂

Pillows change the world! At least the room! Of course, pillows shouldn’t take the place of people. I don’t understand why there would be so many pillows on a sofa or chair, that there’s no room to sit down!

Hope your world is calming down a bit and that your Dad is doing well!
