Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

Welcome to the

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering:

A Virtual Halloween Party

Several of us have come together to present ideas for a

Halloween Party – from Invites to Decor to Food and Drink and even

Games and Giveaways.

I will be sharing some Party Food ideas with you.

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

I would start by creating a cute menu and naming your foods

to fit the occasion.  You could use a print out such as the one above

and frame it, or write it out on a chalkboard.

I would also recommend adding small tags next to each party food

to let your guests know what they are eating.

There are lots of printable online – or again, use small chalkboards

or write on mini pumpkins with a sharpie.

This is another cute idea…

So….are you hungry???

Then walk this way to The Witch’s Buffet…

(mwahahahaha)

spaghettipie

What do you get when you have a crust of guts and a sauce of blood

and a topping of witch’s eyes?

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

A Witch’s Eye Spaghetti Pie.

Of course.  Laughing

For the “crust,” you simply mix cooked spaghetti noodles with mozzarella

cheese and bake for about 5 mins until the cheese is melted.

Then, top with your favorite meat sauce, small mozzarella rounds and

black olives, and bake in the oven until the “eyes” have melted.

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

Easy, easy.  And who doesn’t love witch’s eyes right? Laughing

Mr. Rat says mmmmm…..

The kids LOVED this!

Little did they know I had snuck in lots of grated veggies into the sauce,

such as carrots, spinach and zucchini.

(insert evil laugh)

dirtcake

I should call this the “NO BAKE” Chocolate Dirt Cake.

I have a confession… I bought the cake at Wally World.

(shhhhh)

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

I used two kinds of cookies, and with a purchased icing gel,

I added tombstone writings.

Using melted chocolate and a ziplock baggie, I piped out a “scary tree”

for the graveyard.  I popped it in the fridge for a few minutes to harden.

I also melted some white chocolate to create the fencing and the ghost.

I promise to show you more details of how I did this later.

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

I crumbled up chocolate cookies to create  “dirt…”

Then, simply added my cookie tombstones and chocolate tree,

fence and ghosts.

Candy corns add a pop of color.

There’s Mr. Rat again, nibbling away at the contents of

the “graveyard.”

 ricekrispytreat

Ghosts and Ghouls Gathering at The Everyday Home

Have you ever seen rat’s teeth?  No?

They are orange and black and hard to find in the super market…

(you have to look in the specialty aisle) Laughing

But, they look darling on

{Pumpkin-Spice} Rat’s Teeth Rice Krispy Treats.

When making the rice krispy treats, I simply added some

pumpkin-pie spice to the melted butter.  Then, a quick dip into a bath

of melted orange-colored chocolate melts…

… then a generous dousing of rat’s teeth.  Crunchy rat’s teeth.

Some cute cupcake toppers personalized with my baby’s

names are the finishing touch.

So, that is my menu.

I can assure you – it was enjoyed by all. Laughing

We are thrilled to have Barb join us at The Scoop!

And now…let’s get this party started!

We are excited to turn things over to our guest host this week!

Hi there! I’m Linda and I blog at It All Started With Paint.

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

Oh, and I also recently started a second blog called

Mason Jar Crafts Love.

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

That’s right. This is me …

Lindaprofile

the crazy lady juggling two blogs!

And two kids … and one loving husband …

and one crazy dog …

and a long, long list of home improvement projects …

So, naturally, when the amazing ladies from The Scoop

link party asked me to pick features …

and co-host their awesomely inspiring weekly party …

I jumped right on in!

Let me start by saying picking just five or six favorites to feature from

last week’s party was a challenge … the creativity linked up last week was over the top!

But I had to winnow it down. Starting with this Milky Mercury Glass

from Mrs. Fancee …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home A perfect fall décor project idea …

and she shares an incredible, detailed tutorial too!

Then there’s the Fall Table Setting at Home is Where the Boat Is …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

I can’t tell you how much I would love to sit at this table overlooking

that gorgeous view and clink wine glasses with

Miss Home is Where Boat Is …

Then there’s this amazing DIY on how to Make Your Own Wire Basket

from Remodelando la Casa …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

Seriously? Make your own wire basket?

I’m loving this idea!

Vintage Mellie shows us how she Painted Stripes on a Table Top …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

A project that holds a special place in my heart … and the corner of my living room.

Yes, I have a table that I painted stripes on the top too!

Shabby Criss has an excellent tutorial on how to Make Fabric Pumpkins …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

I love the fun, graphic fabric she chose!

And I’m going to throw in one last feature …

The Scoop Link Party at The Everyday Home

No Bake Messy Monster Cookies from Shaken Together.

I love those edible eyeballs.

I think I’m going to pick some up at the supermarket and put edible eyes

on everything I serve my family for the rest of the month …
Winking smile
Thank you ladies for inviting me to co-host your amazing party!

And now I’m guessing now it’s time to link up …

Please read the guidelines before participating:
