Traditional Fall Tablescape
In our Southern Home, traditional style reigns supreme. That is the case with our Dining Room. With it’s touches of Farmhouse and English Country, traditional Fall colors and details create this autumnal Tablescape.
………………………………………….
Before I share my tablescape, I just wanted to let you know that I am participating in an four day blog hop with some other bloggers whom I greatly admire. We are all featuring some of our favorite Fall projects. If you are coming from Doreen at Hymns and Verses welcome. Don’t you just love her home?
………………………………………..
If I say “I love Fall” one more time will you throw rotten pumpkins at me? 🙂 I apologize but I can’t help it. I am like a kid at a candy store this time of year. I go into a TJMaxx or Hobby Lobby and my much repeated words of “I will NOT buy one more piece of Fall decor” goes right out the door. Let’s not even talk about the garden shops and all those pretty mums just begging me to buy them and bring them home.

Are you the same? Is Fall your special time of the year, too? Combine Fall and Tablescape and well, that is a combination just made for each other. I love to set our Dining Room table with different dishes and centerpieces of the seasons. This year I was especially excited to create a tablescape because of some plates I found at Pier1. It was love at first sight – or plate. 🙂
Aren’t these plates to die for? I paired them with a pumpkin runner and plaid napkins, also from Pier1. Anything plaid gets my heart to pumping fast. LOL
I added some copper accents in the form of candlesticks and pillar holders I found on clearance at Kmart .
A mixture of pumpkins and gourds and sunflowers lay atop a bed of boxwood garland.
The Tablescape was created with the same Rustic-style Farmhouse theme reflected from the Mantel. You can see more of my Fall Farmhouse Mantel HERE.
I will share our Dining Room Buffet with you in the next week or so. You can see a little glimpse below…
Our Dining Room is an interior room, which makes it a very hard room to photograph. But the fact it is an interior room makes it a very cozy room when night falls. I just had to share this tablescape with the glow of candlelight.
I hope you have enjoyed this Traditional Fall Tablescape. While it may be “the thing” to have neutral or all white decor, beautiful in its own right, I just can’t seem to pull it off. I try, I really do because I admire that look. But, touches of color manage to seep in and then BAM! An abundance of color takes over. 😀
Next up on this Fall Tour is Lovely Etc. Please make sure you visit her.
I hope each of you are having a beautiful and blessed Fall. xxoo, Barb

Ha! I”m right there with you about the neutrals- I can’t do them either- I love all the oranges, golds, browns etc for Halloween and Thanksgiving- which is why I thought you nailed the season so perfectly- truly spectacular! Thank you for sharing your home!

You’re so sweet. Thanks for your kind words. I have tried and tried to pull off the neutrals but in the end I feel like I have failed so I go back to what I love. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

I’m right there with you. I love, love decorating for fall. I can’t go for the neutrals either. I do think they are pretty and serene just not me. I have pared down my shopping this year when in the stores. It isn’t easy but when your containers are getting close to as many as your Christmas, well, you know you should cut back. I did buy a couple of the green pumpkins (faux) and a blue one. I understand the decorating in spite of all the tragedy in the world.. My husband has been in the hospital twice in the last few months. Decorating was my stress reliever At night I could sit down by myself and enjoy the beauty of fall in my home. But, yes, we are to lift all those affected by these sad times up in prayer and giving. Thanks for sharing your blog with us.

So, so pretty, Barb. I know what you mean about trying to stay neutral and the color creeping in! We are just not neutral gals, that’s all!
I love the pumpkins in your tablescape, especially the big green one. And the little velvet-looking one. And I love all the candles you managed to find room for. Also, those pumpkin plates from Pier 1 are awesome!
I have no formal dining room so I will not be doing a big tablescape. I’ll just have to enjoy others’.

Your tablescape is going to break the internet. Sort of like Kim Kardashian’s butt, but more photogenic! Love it!!! BTW, I’m missing Cleetus. Is this the room he was in or is he in the kitchen?
View CommentBarb says
LOL – I am sorry but my tablescape will NOT be releasing any sex tapes. hahaha You’re so sweet (and funny). Cleetus is in our Breakfast Room. Mr Buck has been hanging over the mantel for several years but he went into hybernation for a while. I have heard rumors he is with Doe Kardashian. Oh my! 😀

that room is gorgeous and so are your photos. I never realized that the dining room had a fireplace in it. Perfect for cozy dinners with bill…or chaos with the kids!
View CommentBarb says
LOL, the latter is more than likely in this house. 😀
