Sometimes I get the urge to craft.

Just me and my glue gun and some ribbon and some leftover toilet

paper rolls.  Laughing

I don’t have an issue crafting with toilet paper rolls.

I think in the crafting world, they have a legitimate place.

Do you think that when toilet paper makers sat down at the design

board, figuring out how large the inside of the roll would be, they took

into consideration that once they were cut in half, they would make a

great base for a napkin ring?

I mean – sure they talked about absorbency and softness and pretty

little quilted designs.

Did the toilet paper Powers-That-Be (TPPTB) realize what a gold mine

they had when they made the cardboard rolls the perfect size?

I’m pretty sure there were some men in  fancy-schmancy business

suits that sat around a board room with some Pottery Barn napkins

they found on a clearance table after last years holiday.

They experimented with all shapes and sizes of templates, until they

got the perfect size roll.

I can even hear one of them – with an almost sardonic laugh…

“Those Bounty people have nothing on us. We will RULE the napkin

crafting world!”

Then, it was only a matter of packaging  the TP rolls so there were an

even number of napkin rings.

(The mega pack of TP sold at Sam’s Club is intended for larger dinner parties.)

Laughing

The secretary got a raise when she suggested you pair the napkin rings

with the clearance Pottery Barn napkins with a cute little pumpkin basket

placecard.

Charmin approved. Mom approved.

Those smart TPPTB guys.

These are so cute, Barb. I’ve been saving the cardboard tubes from paper towels for a long time without really knowing how I’d ever use them. Definitely pinning this to my Fall/Thanksgiving board!

So cute! Love your leaf plates, too! You could sell these in your store, but getting enough TP rolls could be a problem. Guests might wonder about the basket of loose TP in the powder room! Oh well! What’s for thanksgiving? Doing turkey? I’m so overwhelmed and am glad we’re going to my sister’s!
    Cheers!,

The health issue with toilet roll cardboard is not to be on the table! Use kitchen towel centres please girls! These napkin holders are absolutely gorgeous! WELL DONE!
