So I called in the expert…
Mr Pooter Fixer-Upper Man gave it all he got….but sadly he
advised me to say the last rites…
Mr Pooter fought the valiant effort…but…alas the poor fella
just couldn’t pull through.
He will be laid to rest at the Sacred Heart of Pooters Cemetery.
He is survived by his brother Mac, and his other brother Dell.
Luckily, he had Life Insurance!!!
I was able to save ALL my pics and documents and files
thru this wonderful service.
So what does this sad story have to do with
Met Monday?
All the pics for my very, very cool
(I was sooo excited I was busting!)
Before and After Project I worked on last
week were on that computer.
I am using Mr Grits computer until my new Dell
comes in, and then I can download my pics and files.
sigh!
So – I will re-photograph my super- cool project
(well, at least the “After” part) and post that for
What’s On Your Wall Wednesday.
But…I could not leave you without a bit of inspiration…
so thanks to one of my fave web sites, Southern Living.com
I can provide you with a little bit of
awe-inspiring Eye Candy.
Behold the Power of Paint!
Note the same couch and chair are used but they look
totally different when a fresh painting approach is used.
A very out-dated Kitchen Before…
(I think I had a set of those “dining chairs” when I

Sorry about “Pooter”. I still have not buried mine that got “ill”. I am hoping I can find someone who can bring it back to life for little money.

Cute post 🙂 Three years old isn’t THAT old for a computer. I am so not prepared, if mine suffers a premature death. Love the borrowed inspiration pics.

Barb, your poor Mr. Pooter story was great! Oh, that landfill of computers is scary! I remember when I saw that family room “before and after” in S.L. and I studied it for a long time, because I was just so sure that the furniture had been changed out for new furniture! Amazing what paint can do! I had some of those d.r. chairs too! Very inspiring pictures. laurie

Oh poor Mr. Pooter. My sympathies are with the entire Pooter family; how they must be hurting.
My own branch of the Pooter clan has been on shaky legs for awhile; I think I’ll have to investigate that Carbonite family — it looks as if they might make me an offer I can’t refuse!

Sorry to hear about Mr. Pooter. Mine is on its last leg as well. I guess I need to do the carbonite thing. I’ve been putting it off – is it fairly easy to do? Love the transformations from SL!

Great post Barb! Sorry to hear about poor ole Mr Pooter… May he rest in peace.
Oh my, you’ve made my heart go pitter patter with the before & after pictures! Let’s see… our mbr is blah & humdrum… I need to choose a new paint color, since the 1st one wasn’t a winner & I’m on the fence about painting the furniture or not… Loved the garbage can table/storage idea. Our kitchen is a yuck 1980’s oak cabinet blah & humdrum pass through room. I need to paint the cabinets.
On the positive side, my hubby painted the living room before our guest arrived, so he’s making his way through the house, very slowly, but he’s working on it! ☺ Diane
