And All Through the House…
A few days ago, I came home from an extremely hectic day, to find a package on the kitchen counter. I didn’t see it at first, in my haste to get out of my offending high heels, put my hair up in a pony tail, give kisses to the babies, start dinner, etc.
But, my sweet hubby couldn’t take it any longer and waved the package in front of my face. I turned the package over and saw it was from “Country Woman” magazine and I squealed with a delight like a little girl.
Inside was “my” magazine. 🙂
I immediately handed out all the copies which were inside the package to Bill and my daughter-in-law, Amanda. (insert more squealing)
I am so happy with the results. I am sad I did not get to see all the shots which were taken, particularly those of me and Grandpa and our Grandloves eating cookies, etc. I am hoping the photographer will share some of them with me. I am extremely embarrassed, of all things, about how wrinkled my tablecloth appears. I declare it DID NOT look that bad in real life. LOL Oh well…..
I enjoyed the remainder of the magazine immensely, as well, and have decided to subscribe. Not because of my photo shoot, but because I really enjoyed the articles and features. The magazine is not a thick one, but on the same hand it is not filled to the brim with advertisements and such. I am even planning on hosting the “Wreath Party” they feature.
So if you are interested in getting a copy, I am told you should hurry and find one as they are limited in edition and they sell out fast. I am also told that Walmart is the best source for most areas of the country.
If you don’t have a Walmart close-by, then you are in luck….my kitchen is featured in full length on the website. You can visit:
and click on the “Kitchens” link at the top.
Here is another small peek:

The best part is that all the pics can be enlarged when you click on them.
I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I had fun with this whole photo shoot.
Enjoy…. Barb

Barb it was a wonderful spread of your home for the holidays. I can so see why they would choose your kitchen and dining area. Just beautiful. I also read you want to do the audition for design star! Go for it, and have as much fun as you can doing the video. (the outtakes are the best) I did a video for the OPrah network…of course they never called but that’s OK, I did have fun, and the video was great. It is on the bottom of my blog.

Oh, Miss Barb! How beautiful! My Momma and I have been forever subscribers to “Country Woman” and even longer wreath addicts! 😉
When she showed me your front door wreath I knew immediately what I wanted to make her for Christmas!
I know you are a very busy woman, but would you consider sending me the instructions to make this wreath for her? (She has everything and wants nothing and each year it gets harder to buy for her!)

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

And please give a big thank you to your son for serving our country, as well as your whole family for sacrificing him being away so we may live freely and comfortably! Semper Fi and Hoorah! 😉
