Comment on IKEA Farmhouse Sink by Brenda.
I have that exact sink and love it. (I have a love/hate relationship with the drain board in the back. I find it hard to clean under the handle, where it gets dirtiest the most.) A few years back we totally gutted our kitchen and put in an Ikea kitchen. I couldn’t be happier with everything. My kitchen was designed around that sink. Enjoy it!!

IKEA Farmhouse Sink
This sink weighs a TON. My husband and I could barely lift it. I love it. (My entire kitchen is Ikea – cupboards, sink, stove, microwave, fridge). The appliances are all Whirlpool, just with no labels on them. When I get a scratch in my sink, I use Bartenders Friend and rub it right out. We’ve had the kitchen since 2010 and we have had absolutely no issues. Everything is holding up very well.

Life Goes on….
Totally understand what you’re dealing with. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2002. And then two months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac. (Did they do a celiac panel on you? If not, you should request your doc to it, as they quite regularly go hand in hand.) 12 years later I’m still dealing with prescription adjustments. Find an Endo that will treat you, the patient (and your symptoms) and not just treat you until your numbers are “normal”. Thankfully my Endo is willing to treat me and listen to me and not just go by the lab numbers. She’s the one that recommended the celiac panel. Also have them test your Vitamin D. (I have been deficient for over a year.) I would highly recommend visiting Mary Shomon’s web page: http://thyroid.about.com/ and reading her books. They have help me a lot. There is no quick fix, no quick turnaround. And even after being on meds, I don’t feel 100% most of the time. But it gets better…with time. Take care of yourself.
