For those that know me well….you know I am a dish fanatic. I used to joke that Martha Stewart had nothing on me. In fact, I am kinda embarrassed to admit just how many full sets and partial sets of dishes I own.
When I go to such places as HomeGoods, etc – I inevitably head right towards the dish/plate aisle the second I enter the store. It’s like a magnet to me.
Are you a dish nut, too? I can’t help but wonder how much the dish-buying economy has inproved since blogging and tablescaping has become so popular. LOL
Here are a few of the dishes I have saved in my “Faves Files.”
I saved this picture because I am drawn to oval and rectangular platters.
I also love the scenery depicted.
I love the scalloped edges of these plates.
When it comes to Christmas, I am a sucker for a few basic designs….
plaid, berries and leaves, and red and green.
Hello?? Perfect Dinnerware Calling!
This simple placesetting speaks to me.
I love this “placemat” of leaves. I just might have to create some of these this year using my magnolia leaves.
Not exactly my colors, per say – but I think this would be a fun placesetting for a
themed “Feliz Navidad” Christmas Party.
Isn’t this a breathtaking setting? I love the crisp white napkin and the way it is
decorated. I also love how an ordinary, everyday plate in tones of white and eggplant
suddenly take on a Christmas feel.
Love, love these name cards! Simple!
and finally…
No, I haven’t lost my mind. I have saved this pic for several months because I am looking for these for my DIL. She is a HUGE Tim Burton The Night Before Christmas fan. She loves these dishes. Too each their own. LOL
So that is a sneak into just a FEW of my “Favorite Christmas Dishes” file.
I too go straight to the dish section of Homegoods! My hubby questioned me about it the last time we went in. The pics are truly inspirational! I hope you will come by and see the giveaway I am having. It’s great for us dishaholics!
I love scouting out the dishes at Homegoods, TJM and Marshalls. I did make a promise to myself to hold off for awhile as I have way more than I’ll ever use! It doesn’t hurt to look though!
Oh Barb, you know that I love dishes, but if I bring one more into the house I will have to move out and just let the dishes live here. No room. You did find some gorgeous ones though, well all except for the last ones. Well, at least she loves them. That’s a good thing. Hope you have a super weekend. Love ya!. Hugs, Marty
I love dishes too! I just don’t have the storage for them. So, what I tend to do is buy are different salad plates to mix with the sets of dishes I already have. Love the Toy’s Delight, Christmas Berry & Plaid and the The Night Before Christmas dishes too!~Ames
It’s nice to have people who understand about me and dishes (my family doesn’t). I love them, too, and would have many more if money and space were no object.
Barb, I don’t know if you remember me from the HGTV message boards? Long ago when Cole lived with you. I was thinking about you and wondered if you ever went back to blogging so I looked up your blog and here you are.
You now have two grandbabies! That’s wonderful. Me too! I’ve signed on to follow again so I’ll keep up with your decorating and news.
First of all, I love the title of the post. My dad always makes an exagerated “Not another dish!” statement when mom walks in with yet another dish. My husband is on the edge of making one I am sure. Thanks for all the beauty in your post.
Barb I have noticed you commenting on my blog and I thought to myself, hmmmm, I wonder if she is blogging again and lo and behold here you are!!! I am so sorry I have not been here before now, You probably were wondering where I was. So glad to see you doing what you love, glad you are back,Love ya,Kathysue

I love dishes too, but space is a problem in my small kitchen. You have some great ones posted today, thanks.
