Leftover Halloween Candy.

I know, I know.

What’s that right?

It’s about the same as “leftover wine.”

Huh?

๐Ÿ˜€

If “leftover candy” is something rare in your home,

you may want to consider making some of this BEFORE

all the candy gets gobbled up.

Plus, it makes great gifts!!!

I am sharing this “Eerily-Easy” Candy Recipe for our

Celebrations of Home” October Blog Hop.

I will add all the links to everyone who is participating below.

Making candy!

Okay, I have a secret.

I am NOT a baker nor a candy maker!

So when it comes to melting candy and candy

thermometers and all that technical stuff…

well, I am lost.

I guess that is why I love making a bark.

If you’re not familiar with a bark candy, basically it’s

a layer of chocolate with other ingredients layered into it.

Basically, you can use ANY ingredients.

Accept Spam.

And sardines.

I would NOT use those.

๐Ÿ˜€

Here are my ingredients…

I wanted to use ingredients you think of when you

think of Halloween.

Candy corn, caramel popcorn, salted pumpkin seeds,

and M&M’s.

(I picked out all of the blue ones – LOL)

Next, I simply melted a package of White Chocolate Candy Melt.

I layered some parchment paper on a cookie sheet,

poured the melted chocolate on top and spread it out

about 1/4″ thick.

Next came the fun part…adding the candy.

Eat one…place two.

Eat two..place one.

I added until I thought it was nice and full.

Finally, I melted some semi-sweet chocolate chips in a

little zip-lock baggie.  Then, snipped a tiny hole at one corner…

… and drizzled the melted chocolate over the Bark.

You don’t actually cut up the candy, you just break it.

You can break it into smaller or larger pieces.

I just let it break wherever it wants and break larger pieces

into smaller pieces as needed.

You end up with sweet chocolate, crunchy popcorn, and

salty pumpkin seeds.

I made three batches.

Some will get packaged up in decorated Chinese Take-Out

boxes for gifts for friends, neighbors and teachers.

Honestly, it’s so easy – its

FRIGHTENING!!!!!

If you are not a white chocolate fan, you can substitute

milk or dark chocolate and drizzle with white chocolate.

And like I said… and kind of Halloween candy and nuts will work.

I know, I know.

You won’t find this under the Health Food category –

but you will find it under the

“Eerily Easy”

category.

Yep, if you can melt Candy Melts in the microwave you have this licked. The babies would love pressing on (or throwing in?) the candy. (what they didn’t eat first) haha xxoo, Barb
