My Fall Decorating is dwindling to a stop.

No really.  It is.  πŸ˜€

I have several more Fall projects to share,

with you here -but, I have a little secret.

(Actually, it’s a secret that many DIY Bloggers share.)

I will start decorating for Christmas soon.

As a Blogger, we have to decorate earlier than usual

so we can photograph and write about and share

awesome Christmas projects with you.

But, for now – I am still enjoying my pumpkins and

mums and gourds and “all things Fall.”

So I hope you enjoy these easy DIY…

Faux Fall Branches

…………………………………….

I have decided that decorating for Fall is

much like eating potato chips.

You know the ole’ saying…

“no one can eat just one.”

How to Create Faux Fall Branches | The Everyday Home | www.everydayhomeblog.com

Faux Fall Branches | The Everyday Home

I see some homes in all their simplistic beauty…

A pumpkin here.  A pitcher of Fall leaves there.

And while I love it in their home,

I just have too many projects running through

my head to stop at a few pumpkins.  πŸ™‚

Or, as my hubby would say – I have too many

flat surfaces and walls and tabletops to leave empty.

πŸ˜€

I get it.

Not everyone appreciates the “more is more“

mentality of decorating.

Even I have a limit.

Though I’m sure I cross that “limit” line many,

many times.

LOL

But this time of year – Fall and Christmas tests my limits.

I am reminded again and again of the “little black dress”

and taking away the last accessory to get the perfect look.

Even so, I have decided that my style is just that.

Mine.

Our home is ours.

And maybe it’s not for everyone.

Maybe to others, they think that I should remove not

only the last accessory but three accessories prior

to the last one.

Faux Fall Branches | The Everyday Home

That is why I have loved design my whole grown

up life.  There are no rules.

And you pretty much cater your own style to

your own home.

The design process unfolds and when and only when

YOU know you are done – is when you will stop.

Or not.

πŸ˜€

And just when you have your interior completed,

you realize there is one good thing about

having a front porch.

That’s another whole “room” you can decorate.

Score!

So you grab some twigs and some pretty,

authentic-looking Fall leaves – and with your

handy-dandy hot glue gun you head out onto the front

porch where you can sip on some Apple Cider Sangria

and craft your little heart out.

(and burn your little fingers off)  πŸ˜€

You randomly glue on the faux leaves to the empty twigs.

Larger leaves at the bottom and smaller leaves at the top.

Imitating real life.

Then you tuck in some dried magnolia leaves –

with their beautiful gray-green coloring – into a small black

urn and add some faux bittersweet stems.

You stop, go inside to refill your sangria glass because

darn! – that stuff is mighty good.  Plus it dulls the pain

on your burnt little fingertips.  πŸ˜€

Finally, you tuck in your newly created

Faux Fall Branches.

And you thank your lucky stars you’re are a

“More is More” kinda gal so you

can enjoy making all of these fun projects.

Lucky me!

LOL It is delish. I will post about it soon as I usually make it for Thanksgiving dinner, plus I just picked up some fresh mountain apples at our farmer’s market. Thanks for stopping by. ~ Barb

I think your arrangement is lovely. Perfect for fall. Not too much, and not too little.
