Hello….my name is Barb – and I am
addicted to fabric!
π
I admit it. I go into a fabric store and my pulse races
and I break out into cold sweats. As I walk from aisle to
aisle, gingerly touching each and every beautifully, woven
design of wonder – I begin redecorating every room in my
home based upon a different fabric pattern.
I have spent virtually thousands of dollars on new
projects….in my mind.
I have yet to explain to Mr Grits why I have all these
yards of fabric in storage. I know in my mind,
one day I will accomplish all the projects
I have planned for that cherished yardage.
(heehee…or maybe not!)
I ran across this fun video from
and found it to be full of eye candy.
I thought I would share it here with you.
By the way – I heart, heart, heart the bedroom with
the soft colors.
Let’s just say….”inspiration” boys and girls….
INSPIRATION! π
Enjoy!…Barb

I am officially DROOLING over the beautiful things in that video! i want to run to the fabric store RIGHT NOW!! Do you think they would let me in even though it is 10:30 pm?
I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, and happened to just “skim by” the fabrics…..and their entire clearance bin was FILLED with spools of ribbon.
I almost had an attack right then and there!
I RAN away and never turned back!
My pocket book was happy this morning!

Ok Barb, this just isn’t fair. You know that I am just about the biggest fabricaholic that ever lived. I love, love, love fabric of all kinds. You and I would be a reall mess in a fabric store together. lol Can you imagine all the trouble we could get into. I also have yds of fabric stuffed under the bed, in the closet and some of it is from color schemes from 4 houses ago. I just can’t seem to part with it. Thanks for the video, I just drooled. Hugs, Marty

I love fabric too. Someday I’m gonna need to learn how to sew.

Barb, I love fabric, too. I love to make table overlays and napkins. We always have theme parties on holidays, so I always make the tablecovers. It just sets the mood. People think I spend a fortune, but really I don’t. Gotta tell you, I recently went into a Habitat Store (kind of like Goodwill but it benefits Habitat). Anyway, they had tons of rolls of fabrics people had donated. I could not believe it. Some of it was plain ugly, but a lot of it was gorgeous and was like a half bolt of fabric! Guess the price?? $1 per bolt. They even had a buy 1 get 1 free that day!!! I love finds that like! They must have thought I was a crazy woman, I was climbing the racks to get bolts of fabric, drooling all the way! When I think back, I must have looked like a mountain lion! My hubby was with me, and I had been taking prednisone for my back, and when he rounded the corner, he just shook his head and said, “That prednisone must be kickin’ in.”

Oh, I used to be just like you about fabric and would haunt my favorite stores, looking for bargains (a lot of which I found!). In the past few years, have turned all my energies to other endeavors… although some beautiful fabric sits in my closet, just waiting to be made into slipcovers for my sofa and chaise!
