I think the theme of my Fall decor this year has been 10-Minute Projects.
The project I am sharing today is another perfect example. I made two of these for my Fall Dining Room Tablescape which I will be sharing this Friday. I wanted something which would balance the long table, and sit beside a tall white lantern. I also wanted to create something which a) I could create with what I already had on hand and b) I could disassemble and recycle next year. I created this DIY Pumpkin Candleholder and want to show you how easy it is.
DIY Pumpkin Candleholder
……………………………………………………….
Is it a pumpkin? Is it a planter? Is it a candleholder? It’s D: All of the above. Or, in my case, it’s E: Cheap and Easy. Like I said, 90% of my Fall projects have taken me 10-minutes or less. And that’s perfectly fine by me, because 10 minutes here, and 10 minutes there is just about all of the spare time I have.
I already had two of these craft store pumpkins. Right now at Michael’s, they are 50% off. I bought several of them last year after the Fall season for 80% off. I, also, had the other items I needed. I only needed to purchase two candles. Using a sharp knife, I cut an opening on top of the pumpkin and removed the lid. Save the lid because you never know when you might need the full pumpkin for another project.
Next, add some floral foam to the center trimmed to the exact height of the opening of the pumpkin.
Using newspaper or some other type of paper or plastic, fill in around the foam so it stands up straight.
Next, insert your candle.
I took some leftover bits of moss and tucked them around the candle to cover up the foam and filler.
I had a few bits and pieces of leftover fall leaf and berry garland … just the right amount to add some accent to the planter.
Using leftover bits of garland, I tucked some extra stems here and there to fill in empty spaces.
When I was done, here is how it appeared…
I intentionally stuck with an orange|green|brown color scheme. It will make total sense when you see my table on Friday. Nope, this isn’t the neutral, all-white Fall decor that is so popular and I really admire so much. It’s The Everyday Home’s style of Fall decor that is colorful and traditional.
Just like me. LOL
Join me on Friday as I share my Traditional and Formal Fall Dining Room Tablescape. Thanks for letting me share my DIY Pumpkin Candleholder.
xxoo, Barb

It’s Giveaway Time!!!!
I have been meaning to give one of these beautiful wreaths away for several weeks…I just kept forgetting. :-O But, it’s time, my Everyday Friends.
Several months ago, I discovered McFadden Farm. A family farm in California that grows, makes and sells beautiful herbs and wreaths and organic wines. Look at this gorgeous 3-Herb Swag. Gasp! I used their Bay Wreath Wreath in my Breakfast Room as part of my Fall Vignette on our blue chest.
The Bay Leaf wreath arrives fresh and green, as if the bay was freshly picked and assembled the day before it shipped out. I can’t even describe the amazing smell when I opened that box. After about a week, the wreath’s color changes to a lovely, soft sage-green color as you see above. I would love one of you to win one of these wreaths, or you can even choose the 3-Herb Swag, as shown above. All you have to do is use the Giveaway Widget below. All you have to do is comment, and earn extra chances as desired. I can’ wait to see who wins. I will announce the lucky winner next Wednesday! Good luck, everyone!!!
