I was at the grocery store this evening. I stopped by after work to pick up a few
things, and could not help but grab a bag of pretty green apples. Before long, I also
had a bag of oranges, some kumquats and several bags of cranberries.
I could not help but look at all the fruits, and even the veggies, in a
decorative manner.
I love using fruits in my displays. Mother Nature provides us with an
abundance of beauty.
I love the simple platter of greenery, pinecones and clove-studded oranges,
seen above.
Apples, nuts and boxwood create an elegant statement at the base of a bannister.
A garland of kumquats is enhanced by a garland of cranberries. Lovely!
Red apples and red grapes…embraced by a simple silver bowl.
Is there anything more festive than a floating candle in a bowl of cranberries?
Love the addition of the base of holly leaves.
Green apples become the “ornaments” in this rustic arrangement.
Oranges and a vintage copper boiling pot….stunning!
I love the mixtures of orange and green fruits, and the special touches of the fruit
slices tucked in.
My fave! Pomegranites.
More green apples – this time paired with white roses and cascading white grapes.
Cylinders of cranberries with white candles. Isn’t it amazing how a few bags of
inexpensive berries can create such impact?
Do you use fruit when decorating for Christmas? What is your favorite tip using fruit?
I would love to hear your ideas.
Thinking of you during the upcoming days….Barb

It’s hard for me to use fruit when I’m decorating because I usually eat it too quickly 🙁
