Hello, my Everyday Friends.
Have you noticed it’s been quiet around here?
I had dental surgery last Thursday and there were “complications.”
So, I have the extreme pleasure of having even more surgery this week.
I have asked a few of my blogging friends to help me out
with some fabulous guest posts. Please share the love and
pin, tweet and share on Facebook, too.
Love you guys – and I will be back next week.
xxoo, Barb

Hello, I’m so happy to be here with you while Barbara is recovering.
I hope and pray that she’s up and around soon!
My name is Susan and I blog at Love of Home.
I have an easy and pretty Spring project to share with you!
Spring is such a wonderful
time to change things around and breath some new life into our spaces.
I love to add a little sparkle and what a better way to do that than to
make some pretty glitter eggs. You can transform the inexpensive eggs
from the craft store with just a few simple supplies. They are perfect
for adding to bowls or a cake stand like I did. I love their simplicity
while adding a touch of elegance that can be used in any decor style.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Plastic eggs
Spray paint
Modge Podge
I partially sprayed the eggs with gold paint and let them dry.
Next I covered them with a thin layer of Modge Podge. I found that
just using my hands I got better coverage than the foam brush, put into
a container with glitter and roll around until covered, let dry! I like the
way the gold comes through but so do the subtle colors of the plastic
eggs. I have a few different glitter jars but the glass glitter is my favorite!
I went for simple and neutral but if you like color you could use
colored glitter too!
Thank you Barbara for letting me share my project with your readers!

How would you use these glitter eggs? I can see them attached to
green moss wreath, or in a simple, white Farmhouse bowl.
I love how Heather Bullard created placecard holders.
And here’s another take on glittered eggs by Domestifluff.
