Fall Dough Bowl Arrangement for Fall
Creating small arrangements throughout our home is one of the simple ways I use to add Fall decor. This Fall Dough Bowl Arrangement do not take a lot of time or money but add a lot of impact for the season.
For some reason, finding white pumpkins – or Baby Boos – has been quite difficult. Maybe it wasn’t a good year for Baby Boos, I don’t know. I generally stick to traditional Fall pumpkins and gourds, but I love some white ones thrown in here and there, too. So what is a girl supposed to do if she can’t find the white ones?
She PAINTS them. 🙂
I know what you’re going to say. Why didn’t I buy fake white pumpkins. Well, I thought of that, too. And I did have some fake ones but I had already used them. I even looked at faux mini orange pumpkins to paint. But honestly, they just didn’t look as real as the…REAL ones. 😀
So, I grabbed a bag ‘o punkins at the grocery store and home I went to create my own mini Boo’s. I didn’t want to paint over the stems, so a little bit of tin foil solved that problem.
Then, several light coats of a matte white spray paint…
Instant Baby Boo’s. I “officially” finished my Fall decorating several weeks ago…bwahahahahaha
(Yea, right.)
I can’t stop, y’all. Everywhere I look I see a spot in my house that isn’t covered with some semblance of Fall. Can’t have that now can we?
😀
I grabbed a mini farmhouse dough bowl, filled it with some filler and moss…(filler = plastic grocery bags) then add some dried hydrangea, my newly painted white boo’s and some acorns.
And y’all know I am a grapevine freak. So I broke off a few pieces and laid them across the top.
If I said this Fall Dough Bowl Arrangement took me 10 minutes to complete, I may be exaggerating that by a few minutes. Because honestly it was throw it in, fluff it and stand back and admire my handy work.
Honestly though, I think you could throw in some fresh cow patties in a pretty dough bowl – and top them with grapevine (LOL) – and it would be pretty. There’s just something about a dough bowl isn’t there?
It’s amazing that there is hardly any color to this arrangement, just the whites and greens – yet it just pops!
My sweet granddaughter loves mini pumpkins. And, she loves pink. Since I doubt I will be able to find pink pumpkins, either… I guess I will be using that can of pink spray paint in my garage I hardly ever use.Baby Boo’s in Pink. Perfect!

I’m hoping to get a dough bowl this weekend, so I was interested to read this. It’s funny, I HATE orange–until the Fall comes, and then I really enjoy the natural pumpkins. I’ve been helping some friends out at a pumpkin patch this month, and we have natural PINK Cinderella pumpkins! No spray paint necessary. I’m continually amazed at the artwork of our Creator. 🙂

I could kick myself. A friend offered me a wooden dough bowl years ago and I turned it down!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve regretted that decision. And then to see your post. . .!

Love wooden bowls in decor and would really like to have a large dough bowl. SO many things you can do all year long. This is a lovely arrangement with non-traditional fall colors. Very nice!
