We all buy gifts this time of year for our family and friends and co-workers,
but do you buy gifts for the little furry friends in your life?
Our three fur babies have their own stockings, and they always get
a special treat from Santa on Christmas morning.
Okay, okay – I am pretty sure it’s more for my benefit than theirs,
but I would like to think that the catnip mice are something they
look forward to each Christmas Day.
I have found Walgreen’s Pet Department to be a good source for
treats, toys and stocking stuffers and gifts for furry babies.
The “Pet Shoppe” collection offers all kinds of toys and special treats.
Doggy treats, catnips toys, chew bones…
they all make great gifts and can be slipped inside an inexpensive
stocking to give as a gift to a special furry member of the family.
I bought this collection of toys for my best friend’s “son.”
I also bought some homemade doggy biscuits to throw in.
I think this will make me a “dog’s best friend.”
Make sure you check out the Pet Shoppe at Walgreen’s
for pet gifts, as well as, their incredible line of
last minute gifts for Fido’s human friend’s.

I found these great ideas for creating
Handmade Pet Christmas Ornaments.
How cute would it be to make one of these as a kitten or puppy
and another one when they were all grown?
You could use a standard salt dough recipe to make these.
Scrabble Tile Pet Name Ornament
Ok, this is just “doggone” cute!
Glue scrabble tiles together to spell your pet’s name.
You can find the small charm in most scrapbook sections
of the craft store.
Personalized Frosted Ornaments
Clear or frosted ornaments painted with a cute bone and
your pet’s name can be customized with any color.
The coordinating ribbon is a cute touch!
Personalized Mini Frame Pet Picture
Small Walgreen’s frames can be painted using basic
craft paints and add coordinating ribbons and bows or small
“pet themed” trinkets from the scrapbooking section.
Insert a picture at various stages of your pet’s life, and add the year.
Rustic Wood Disc Personalized Ornaments
You can buy these small wood discs at craft stores if you do not have
access to your own.
*(they will also be sold next year in Farmhouse Decor.)
The ornament above was created using a wood-burning tool,
but black craft paint would work just as well.
Attach a jute or ribbon bow to hang.

Those ornaments are so cute. I bought an ornament that was to resemble the breed of my dog and she didn’t like it at all. Hahaha!! She will get a couple of things for Christmas day. I think she gets a kick out of it. Happy Holidays!
