There are several holidays I consider my favorites, and July 4th would be one of them. Although not one of America’s religious holidays, it’s an opportunity for me and my family and other patriots to share our pride in being a United States citizen and show some good ole’ patriotism. We love to have friends and family over for a large cookout then attend a fireworks display in town. Sometimes we just stay at home with the babies with sparklers and watch the fireworks on television at The National Mall in Washington, DC.
I thought I would share some of the July 4th Projects and Recipes I have shared here at The Everyday Home over the years.

9.) Patriotic Printables
I have a passion for tin cans. I can’t tell you how many uses they have. I especially love using them to hold silverware and napkins and things that need corralling on the table during parties. You can create pretty printables to wrap the cans to add special touches for holidays.
I designed these three printables to coordinate with each other and they can be trimmed to fit the can of your choice.
You can also create some cute mini pennant banners using paper straws…

10.) JULY 4TH TIN CAN CENTERPIECE
I combined the tin cans and the printables seen above and created a simple centerpiece for my July 4th Dessert Table. I used basic silk florals in red, whites and blues and added some colorful sunflowers.
Finally I added mini American flags and the Paper Straw Pennant Flags and small chalkboards on sticks that spelled out U-S-A. So easy!

The “Eric” banner scored a big hit for me. Including his name makes the flag waving much more personal. Inspiring ideas with enough time to get busy on my end! Thanks. Happy Birthday, America! susen

Great recipes, Barb! Will be making some of these! Even though we are Canadians — and winter in Texas — we still like to celebrate the 4th of July!
We have a Texas flag flying from our big flag pole in our front yard! We also have a “country” flag at each of our doors on our porch! We have U.S. flags on our mailbox — which we bought in Texas! We even have a bunting which we put up on our railing for the July 4th week! We love the U.S.A. If we could, we would move there!
Again, thanks for the recipes, Barb!

I’m glad you love the USA as much as I do. I am ashamed to say I have traveled all over the world but have never been to Canada. We were just talking about going to Quebec this Fall instead of Europe because things are starting to get so unsafe there. 🙁
