Comment on 5 Easy Ways to Live in the Moment by Richella Parham.
Good for you, Barb! Good for you!! I’m proud of you for realizing the need to slow down. . . I know it’s especially hard for such a go-getter as you. But you’ll be blessed, I know.
I’ve thought a lot about this, and I’ve decided that REST is actually a discipline that we must undertake. Our world allows us (even encourages us) to work 24/7; we have to be disciplined to make time for rest.
And your point about not comparing?? Well, I’ve thought about that a LOT, because this is my lifelong struggle. In fact, I’m writing a book about escaping from the trap of comparison. I have a long way to go, but I’ve learned a lot.
Bless you, sweet lady. May God grant you 25 more happy and healthy years with your handsome colonel.

How to Plan a Cruise
I’ve never been on a cruise, but it sounds as if this was a great one, Barb! So good of you to take your grandchildren on such a fantastic trip.
Thanks for the cruising tips! Although I’ve traveled a great deal, I never would have thought of some of these. You’re the bomb!
Old Fashioned Dining Room Sideboard {and a printable}
Oh, Barb, your beautiful transferware gets me every time. Doesn’t it all look so beautiful festooned with greenery and accented with the black and white checks? Just lovely! And I love that little pair of scissors. . . perfectly imperfect is just right, especially this time of year!
A very merry Christmas to you and yours.
Christmas Napkin Ring Printables
Barb, you’re a genius! Back in the 80’s, when I first got married, I had lots of napkin rings. Those got sold in one of the garage-sale purges of the 90’s. . . now I wish I had them back! But simply tying napkins with twine and then placing one of these cute printables on each napkin? Presto! You’ve got a napkin ring and a place card all in one! You’re the hostess with the mostest.
Thanks so much for the printable! Every blessing on you today.

Easy DIY Wreath Ornament
Very pretty, Barb! Love the old-fashioned look of these.
I’m so sorry you’ve developed plantar fasciitis. It is NO FUN, is it? A good way to tell if it’s actually PA: does your foot hurt WORSE when you first wake up in the morning?
Let me encourage you. I was amazed to find that many, many people have suffered with PA. The most important thing I learned? It does finally go away. It may last awhile, but take heart: it will heal.
A nurse recommended the Strassburg Sock to me, and it helped more than anything else. It should cost you no more than $30-40 either at a local shop or online. I found it on Amazon, but only saw the large calf size or pediatric size–you need the regular. Anyway, you should know going in that it’s not particularly comfortable to wear. In fact, you might wake up at some point in the night and tear it off. But it’s worth it. It holds your foot in a gentle stretch so that you don’t suffer that horrible pain upon waking up. Good luck!
