Y’all, I am in a planting fever.
I get this way every Summer. I tell myself I am not going to plant nearly as many pots and containers, and I am not going to buy anywhere as many plants as last year. Then, I go to Lowes and some of my fave garden shops, and these plants and herbs and flowers just jump right in my cart and insist on coming home with me. I am faultless in all of this, I promise. But this time, this container garden was intentional. I think you will love it.

We are in the process of doing a mini redecoration on our back deck. I am currently shopping for new cushions and some accessories. It all started when I found these amazing acrylic dishes in a pretty Mediterranean design. I used these as my inspirational starting point.
I wanted to create a garden container for a side table. I already had a standard strawberry pot. You know the kind…
Using some spray paint, craft paint and painter’s tape – I added a few striped details. I chose a blue accent color I pulled from the dishes. It was an easy-peasy painting project….
Instead of taking lots and lots of step by step pictures to show you how I planted my pot, I decided to make a create a video and show you in real time. I think you will agree this is an easy project anyone can complete.

I just love that you took a clay pot and transformed it into a different pot. I would have never thought about painting it. Thanks for the great idea.

I like the turquoise and white colors on your succulent container. It makes a nice backdrop for the trailing plants and the red flowers. Very pretty!
