I actually have a love/hate relationship with them.
While I love a coffee table and it’s function, I always seem to have the
hardest time styling them for some reason. So I asked my dear friend,
Marty with A Stroll Thru Life to share some of her great tips and ideas,
because she seems to have mastered the art of Coffee Tables.
How to Style a Coffee Table
Hi everyone – my name is Marty and I blog over at A Stroll Thru Life.
I am so happy to be here and also happy to share some of my decorating
tips. Let’s talk Coffee Table Styling.
Coffee tables often are the center element of any room design. They can
be the star of the show or a supporting element. In either case, they need
to carry off the style of the room. Sometimes that is a daunting task.
However, if you keep a few basics in mind, styling a coffee table can be fun.
This is another use of a plant to give the table some life. Ivy in
small pots work great in so many places. Stack some fun accessories
on top of books too for added interest and detail.
Tie it together with the horse statue, ivy and earthy candles and it
fits in with the decor on the sofa. You can group just about
anything together to create a theme if you repeat the feel of a
few of your items.
Since my table is dark I like to brighten it up with lighter accessories.
A white tray holds plants, books and orbs. Glass candlesticks add
sparkle and elegance to any table. Brass would look fabulous in
this arrangement too.
Thank you my sweet friend for sharing your great tips and
ideas with us here at The Everyday Home.
