“Sweetheart Candy Art and Free Printables”
What a week!
It started out as 50 degrees, then we were hit with an ice storm,
and today it is 70 degrees.
Only in the South do you need sunscreen and snow shovels in
the same week.
But, I am looking forward to some sunshine next week, and
that put me in the mood to put out a few Valentine Decorations.
I am also happy to join The Scoop’s Valentine’s Tour.
This will be a fabulous Showcase of
25 Blogs and 25 Projects.
So… let’s get started. I have a very “sweet” project to share.
Ok, so you know when you start out a project with something
on clearance…its gonna be a good one!
I found square, gold picture frames on sale at Michaels.
“Clearance” is such a pretty word isn’t it?
I created a simple Printable as the backdrop for my
Sweetheart Candy Art.
I had this printed at Staples on cardstock,
then I cut it to fit the frame.
I started hot gluing sweetheart candy around the banner…
… in the shape of a heart.
I placed the candy art back into the gold frame.
I had originally thought I would paint the frame, but decided
I liked the gold.
I used my candy art and created a cute Valentine vignette on the
chest in our foyer.
A jar of pink and white roses…
(I will share more of this at the end of the week…)
– with a cute chalkboard tag…
I know one thing… these sweetheart candies sure have changed their
messages since I gave these away as a little girl.
I also created a cute Printable to share with you…
“I Love You –
a Bushel and a Peck!”
“… a Bushel and a Peck –
and a hug around the neck!”
Please feel free to use this for all of your *personal* projects…
Would you please PIN this to your favorite Pinterest Board?
I’d love you a bushel and a peck!
(just hover your mouse over the picture)
I’ve got even more LOVE to share…

I love this cute simple project. I have the candy hearts and a 8×8 black frame just waiting to be used for something. This would be perfect. However, where is the ‘banner printable?’ I am sick so maybe I’m missing the obvious but I can’t seem to find a link to print the “You’re my Sweet Heart” banner. Thanks for posting this project.
