The Teachers at Home{work} Wednesday have a Teacher’s Work Day this week.
School will adjourn at the normal time next week.
In the meantime… I thought I would share some of the “Home{work}
Assignments” from last week which featured a patriotic and July 4th theme.
Speaking of July 4th…do you have big plans? This year it will be relatively quiet
at The Everyday Home. Last year we had a huge party and BBQ…so it’s kinda nice
that we will be taking it easy this year. I may actually work in the garden and plant
my new hydrangea bush! Yay!
If you are having company over… look at these cute Patriotic Ideas that you still
have time to create…
1) Pottery Barn Knock-Off Burlap Hanger
Lilacs and Longhorns shares her version of the more expensive
Pottery Barn Burlap Stars. She includes some great directions with
How-To pictures.
2) Easy Last Minute July 4th Wreath
I had you at Last-Minute didn’t I?
New House to Home shares her great project with us.
3) Salt and Pepper Shaker Centerpiece
I love this festive idea for creating cute centerpieces.
Little Miss Celebration shows us how.
Speaking of last minute, I thought I would show you my
Breakfast Hutch and
July 4th Paint Chip Banner.
I used (free!) Paint Chips cut into stars and attached them together with jute twine.
(did I mention it was free?)
Leftover scrapbooking letters spell out my Happy July 4th message…
but you could use a White-Out pen to hand write your letters.
An English Ironstone pitcher is filled with hydrangeas, ivy and mini
Dollar Store pinwheels.
You can check out the rest of my Breakfast Room Hutch and
Easy July 4th Decor HERE.
Next week, we will be sharing the Top Three Most Viewed Posts, and I will also
share my personal Top Three.
So please join us next week for Home{work} Wednesday!
Party goes live at 8pm Tuesday night.
