Happy Monday Morning, my Everyday Friends! I hope you had a fabulous
weekend. I am still recovering from a whirlwind week we had of Home Tours.
Did you catch all of them? I was absolutely amazed and totally inspired by all
the fabulous homes I saw. I am still popping in to visit some of them…
I can’t get enough.
If you wanna to see a quick recap of all of the homes, there are thumbnails at
the bottom of this post which will take you to each home.
So, during my Home Tour, I showed you a simple white pot filled with herbs and
a David Tutera Chalkboard Stake added in. I absolutely adore herbs, and love
having them within easy reach when I am cooking.
Remember I showed you last week an easy project I did using a Utensil Caddy
to create a cute Herb Garden?
I decided to change it up just a bit and add a little decoupage design I whipped
up using one of The Graphics Fairy’s designs I modified a bit. It’s one of my
fave designs, the French Bee with Wreath.
I started with this $2 Goodwill find.
I used Picmonkey to slightly change it and add the word Herbs. I also added
some blue coloring to the ribbon.
I clipped the paper around the design as close as possible, then coated the back
of with some good ole’ Modge Podge.
This is a close-up which shows how it looks after the first coat, just after it was
applied.
But, after a few extra coats, the edges slowly started disappearing and began
to fade into the background.
A few of my favorite herbs planted in each caddy opening…
Then a few of these small David Tutera Chalkboard stakes…
And this is the final look. A cute, little Frenchy Herb Planter.
Check out The Graphic’s Fairy if you are looking for some pretty designs to
decoupage. It’s the best collection on the web.
Have a great Monday, my friends. Click on any of the thumbnails below to tour
any of the homes you see. I have a special treat in store for you tomorrow.
Kelly, my Gardening Contributor, has another installation of Gardening from A-Z.
Tomorrow is “B” and you will love her topic. Oh yea, a little birdie told me there
may be an awesome giveaway, too.
xxoo, Barb

You might try printing on tissue paper too, which should disappear more into the background. Just cut a piece a little smaller than a regular piece of paper, tape it to your paper (tape across the top and bottom), and then print. Once it’s got Mod-Podge on it, it will become more translucent. Might even make it look more aged!

Barb, how darling! My herbs are all straggly and seedy… I just might have to go out and buy more for the rest of the season and plant them in something so adorable. Mod Podge is amazing stuff!
