Welcome to Metamorphasis Monday, hosted by our wonderful friend, Susan at
Please make sure you stop by Susan’s beautiful blog for more “Before and After” tranformations.
For this week’s Met Monday – we are going to head out to the Front Porch….
I am a little behind schedule on my Fall decorating, but we woke up this morning and made the decision to get our Front Porch ready for Fall.
We cleared everything and gave it a good cleaning…washing away the Summer dust and cobwebs.
Here is the Summer “before” pics…
Bill and I have enjoyed lots of Summer evenings out here. We sat by the lamp light at night and read…at least until the mosquitoes drove me in. 🙂
… a side table covered in a Summery chintz…
…comfy rockers….
…. cushiony pillows….
But with the changing of the Seasons, the Sages and Reds
were changed over to…
Gold and Orange…
The cedar trees we had planted over the Summer were replaced with faux boxwood topiaries, which will be easier to care for.
The white rockers were replaced with brown rattan chairs and ottomans.
Quilted throws are tossed on the back of the chairs for cooler evenings.
Side planters, running over with ivy, get some Fall touches with pansies, pumpkins, and a Seasonal rake.
Bill and I will enjoy morning coffee and after-work drinks in the coming weeks…
Our new red door perfectly frames my Fall wreath…
Stop by and see us….I have fresh loaves of Pumpkin Bread and homemade Apple-Pecan Butter.

Just beautiful Barb! I LOVE those topiary trees. I hung artwork on my porch and my neighbors thought I was nuts. I see you did the same thing. I bet they wouldn’t call you that – it’s all just too gorgeous!

It’s all so gorgeous Barb! I just adore all of the warm colors you have here and your Fall wreath is a stunning piece! 🙂

Oh, Barb, your porch is just spectacular – summer or fall! Love your Fallen wreath! Wow! Did you make this or buy it? It’s gorgeous! I love those topiaries with the little lights, I’d love to do something like that. Love how you have a piece of art on your porch wall. If I did that at my house – someone would steal it during the night! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your Fallen beauty.

I love your porch, summer or fall. I can’t imagine being able to have paintings and lamps outside like that. Even with a covered porch, the wind would ruin things around here. It truly is beautiful and I’m jealous!

When visitors come to visit they don’t even have to step inside!
You have everything (almost) you could want, right there on that beautifully staged porch.
Nothing says “Welcome” better than a front porch that’s done right!
This is my first visit… and I will be back often!

Hi Barb,
Your front porch is STUNNING! I bet you never want to leave it to go inside. What surprises me is do you live in a windless city. I can’t put anything on my porch unless it is very heavy or the wind will blow it through the yard and into the wetlands. If I put any of those lovelies out on my porch they would last 6 mins before the wind took them. Southern PA! Will definitely be using your burlap wreath idea. Thank you for posting it and for sharing pics of your gorgeous porch.
Kindly,

Hi Rae – thank you for your kind words. No, LOl, I get wind and rain but amazing b/c of the way our house sits slightly lower than the street the porch doesn’t have any issues. I’ve never had anything blow off the porch. We have hurricanes but we bring everything in when we do. Thanks for stopping by and I am glad you enjoyed the tour. ~Barb
